Final Fantasy IV the SNES US release, yeasterday I finished it, easy and comfy! Music was nice!
>fight overpowered boss
>we beat them...somehow
>guess it's time to fight for real
>oh shit they were holding back
>NPCs appear out of nowhere
>leave this to us!
>soldats just happen to be in the area
>what are you all doing here!?
>ugh the mood is ruined we're out
>valimar heed my call!!!
Is this on pc too?
yes
it's fire emblem's 30th anniversary today so I'm replaying my favorite FE game
Hello, I'm replaying Final Fantasy VII for the first time since it's release and it's pretty comfy. Last time I played it, I was in high school and didn't really understand English at all and just tried to go everywhere the game let me and talk to everyone and got really excited when I got the game to advance trough sheer trail and error and eventually finished it that way. Now I try that same approach with Dragon Quest IX in Japanese and it's a weirdly nostalgic feeling, I know Hiragana and Katakana and about 600 words from core6k deck and not much else.
3 had the best story. It’s a nice build up to the end where you can see a lot of things happening from the instructors view point. It’s much better than the ‘watch the build up to the civil war while delivering eggs for otto’ plot of CS1
Hello guys, which JRPG has the best coom/gameplay distribution? I need to coom but I also want to play.
Thakns.
Ar Nosurge
*Dragon Quest XI
no its not, its just like the tales series a fucking b production rpg at best, and not just graphicaly but b production in every aspect i have no idea how anyone is reccomending these types of games when there are so many better rpgs relased thru the years and no idea why ppl talk of them so highly they are important to gaming like a low budget jason statham flick from 5 years ago is to movies
>want to do another run in Three Houses
>remember how tired I was of this game by the end of my first playthrough
Where do I start with this series if I'm a PC fag?
Sky FC.
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II on MS-DOS is a good starting point and had much more good direction of the art than later games in the series.
What SNES or PS1/2 jrpg should I play? I enjoy FF and DQ but have already played all of them.
I finished 3 a couple days ago. Genuinely the worst cliff hanger ive ever experienced in my 30 years of life.
Its pretty much anime the video game. Its pretty average, but given how good the previous games were, it gets shat on a lot more than it deserves
Ive never played a Tales game before. Is Vespira a good place to start and is the story decent?
What's a good JRPG without all the anime tropes?
Anachronox
I played CS 1 and 2 and stop playing before finishing 2, doubt I'll ever return because the plot is fucking retarded and I found most of the cast to be pretty fucking shallow and when I heard 3 wasn't the end I had enough of having a shitty story dragging out for more games.
I started with the PS1 version of Tales of Phantasia and found it nice and comfy it's just to bad that translation doesn't fuck like a tiger.
>watch the build up to the civil war while delivering eggs for otto
lol
>Currently playing pic related, is it good?
Not particularly, no.
>Trails
Oh man, I'm sorry, OP. You feel for it too.
Started this yesterday thanks to an user's recommendations in another JRPG thread. I gotta say, I have been loving these threads. I haven't played many JRPGs, so it's nice to see all the different ones out there.
I need something to play on PS4 as my girlfriend uses my PC to work from home. Been eyeing up The Last Remnant remaster, is it any good? I like JRPGs but don't like excessive weebshit.
Dark Cloud 2, maybe?
The pacing for this game is godawful
I stopped playing after i beat the chapter where the terrorists took over the guns, I genuinely grew tired of the stupid school life shit and skimmed through lets play of CS1 for the story
I hopped onto CS2 but stopped after beating a stupid ass monkey side boss made me rage with stupid one shot aoe and faint afflictions until I just abused rean's delay abilities. I read on reviews if it was worth continuing and it doesnt seem so with how the story doesnt even advance that much, along with more random difficulty spike bosses that require stuff like spamming s-crafts to win. The robot fights also suck dick.
Just going to move on to CS3 since it's improved a lot on the two games along with the pacing.
