How much better is DQ11 for Switch than the complete PC version? I'm not sure which one to buy it on

Some negligible extra story and better soundtrack (which can be fixed on PC with a mod). Also 30 FPS.

Haven't beat the game, even though I have it for PC, but the main difference is:
>PC is obviously better visually
>60 fps (unlike 30 on Switch and PS4 Pro)
>can replace shitty midi with orchestra
>no pop-up
Switch version:
>pop-up and worse graphics, but...
>2D mode
>new challenges (one of them is leader dies = game over)
>ultra fast battles option
>can buy materials at item creation... thing (aka at save points)
You can always download demo an try it. Believe me, demo is really long. Expect 6+ hours in demo alone.
Nothing atm because I'm playing Diablo 3 on PS4, but I will definitely buy Picross S4 when it comes out. On 24th, I think. That will take another 50+ hours of my life.

60fps is required for a turned based rpg

AC, DQXI, Lucah Born of a Dream
Switch version is super tolerable due to the series' artstyle--performance is just fine. the fact that your party members follow you around in the overworld is what makes me prefer switch version.

Is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 worth it?

Why is the switch’s os still so empty three years in? Where the fuck are themes and system apps?

if you enjoy weebshit you will like it. the story is actually coherent and not stupid unlike FF or KH

currently playing Mudrunner. beat all the challenges and 3 maps so far.

I just bought a pro controller so might download Astral Chain and Tales of Vesperia

what's good to get? i already have most of the good first party stuff. played a lot of BoI and Hollow Knight. Was tossing up getting either Okami HD or Ori as they're both $30 AU, but couldn't decide so i got neither.

>try to get into new shit
>get bored way too easily and just roll back to the tried and true stuff
Mega man zero collection, DQXI and just redownloaded BotW. Recommend me some good GBA games to put in retroarch, I already got pokemon clover

Astral Chain is kinda shit.

what genres do you like? any gimmicks / trends you’ve been getting into recently? most played stuff?

Im finishing up Torna.

>Fire Emblem
Cringe

SteamWorld Dig 2

recently finished the talos principle on it
while the game is pretty good i wouldn't recommend this port at all its pretty bad

Even if you don't enjoy weebshit, as long as you can tolerate a relatively small amount then it's a great game. I don't even watch anime but it's one of my favorite games.

>Mega man zero collection
These games are absolutely kicking my ass, do you have any tips?
I'm playing zero 1 and i'm struggling against that izuna drop flying eagle fuck boss, it's so damn hard

Animal crossing and crash team racing

>izuna drop flying eagle fuck
before I start typing, do you mean the first stage boss? the recycling plant guy?

AC is pretty great just don't go into it expecting like bayonetta

I really like Platinum games, it's THAT bad?

Animal crossing, Xenoblade 2, Mario and Rabbids and Astral Chain.

Been playing mostly Xenoblade since I hit 5 stars in animal crossing, how anyone can tolerate let alone invest into gacha mechanics at all is astounding. Gacha and tiger tiger are blights on an otherwise pretty tight game.

i really love metroid and castlevania games. i loved hollow knight but other indie "metroidvanias" look shit to me.
how good is it? honestly not really a fan of le steampunk aesthetic

I'm waiting desperately for trials on friday.

No i mean the sage Harpuia dude

>i really love metroid and castlevania games. i loved hollow knight but other indie "metroidvanias" look shit to me.
I shil--recommend this game way too often on Yas Forums
Ghost 1.0, give it a chance.

oh, well in that case you might like it. but it's not one of their best. yeah it's kinda bad. the game throws tons of bullshit at you to distract you from noticing that it's all bullshit with little depth. also the story is stupid.

I got Taiko on sale for 20 so I've been digging into that
Also was playing FF7 but I put that on hold

tfw my switch isn't open to exploit
Nothing because I'm fucking broke.

I never found the gacha to be that bad since you can get most of the rare blades through side quests or other non-gacha means. It only got kinda annoying when I was going for completionism in the post-game, but it didn't take me 400 hours to get KOS-MOS like everyone else seems to say.

Bad take.

It has the appeal of a golden era PS2 game: really good and unique gameplay mechanics with great potential when mastered. Story is meh and it doesn't have that triple A polish, but it's a solid game if you can get it used or on sale.
