Has anyone lived a life like a persona game? Where you have intermittent social connections and you fight a big bad guy who is objectively bad while going to school/work? At some points you have to rank up specific characteristics of yours so you can talk to new people and unlock new areas? Every so often there's special events you can go to and you get to do fun stuff. Is this even possible?

dude...

yeah ren is literally me
i am literally ren
REN

Yeah that happened to me a couple years ago

i did once back when i had my going into games machine

Yeah it was pretty crazy. At the end of the year there was this weird skinny autistic dude with some nerd putting up posters about the death of the world.

>Sent to live in a dorm
>Sent to live with your Uncle
>Sent to live with a random family friend
You know, for once can I be sent to live with my actual fucking family?

Demotivational Posters were SOUL

no, this is the part of your journey where you learn to be alone

maybe in persona 6 you can romance your mom and sister(s)

I miss them so much you don't even know

>Transfer to a new school as a second year student due to being kicked from previous school
>People recognize me as that kid from the delinquent school(my previous school was just full of junkies)
>Felt isolated but managed to get into a friend group of 3 and chill with them, occasionally hang out with a real bro when the friend group isn't there
>Persona 5 came out when i transferred(am 19 now)
It felt as if i played a fantasy version of my setting.
Even funnier, i had glasses and messed hair that time
And that friend group is gone because they actually hate each other but are still my friends

no ren is actually me, here rearrange the letters
rne
it basically is me

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually pushed that one day. It's not like Maigo/Nanako/Twins don't exist.

No, because MC's parents probably wouldn't be cool if he brought his teacher over on Valentine's Day for a fuck.

Having the MC's sibling as a party member and S.Link with parents would be pretty cool though

Are you implying we're getting another teacher route any time soon? Because Kawakami was only given to us as recompense for the aggressive cockblocking in Persona 3 with Toriumi. It'll be Persona 8 by the time we can fuck our teachers again.

I moved out of my mom's place when I was 17 to live in a group home for autistic adults. Made a lot of friends there while learning how to cook/do laundry/etc and preparing for exams.

Turns out autistic people make for awful friends though so I only still talk to one of them after all these years.

You guys just aren't trying hard enough

>Implying P6 isn't going to double-down on older romance options after the popularity of Sae and Kawakami

I wouldn't be surprised if P6 lets you fuck your caretaker and the entire school staff at this point

Sounds too real to joke but yes people who can't recognize social cues are awful people to be around with. Engineering class was pure hell with all the spergs in the room.

I once had a friend say his life was like persona 4 but I was ignorant of the series' particularities and never followed up on what he meant by it

As far as know door-kun had no family, so...

Isn't she still in middle school?

Well, I do know an adorable ginger haired girl that I'm in love with. Surprise twist: I'm the one with the 'tism instead of her, so the chances of it working out in my favor are quite low. That shit's only attractive in females, when you're a dude it's just off putting and makes people uncomfortable, and my looks aren't good enough to offset it.

I can imagine. I fucking hate aspies after having been around with them for so long. It's not even like it's impossible to adapt, but most of them just didn't even want to bother, hence why I dropped all of them but one.

Trust me, tism in girls is not attractive or cute.

She's not in school. In Japan you have to apply to a high school, you don't just get shuffled there after middle school. The issues with her mother and a previous friend caused her social skills to fall to zero and she'll get crippling anxiety and panic attacks in social situations, so after helping her through all her issues she decides to apply for high school the following year.

High functioning autism is easily mistaken for shyness, shy girls can be very cute.

>implying they're going to double down on the good stuff
I appreciate your optimism.

Of course he did. They literally discuss it in game that he lived with his Aunt for the time period between his parents dying and him going back to Tatsumi Port Island.

Oh, I guess I forgot about that bit. My bad.

Most women who are actually diagnosed with high functioning autism aren't the quiet type. I say diagnosed because it's very likely most autistic women fall through the cracks for various reasons, but the ones that actually do end up getting diagnosed tend to be either obnoxious, fat and selfish. If you're lucky, they're only obnoxious and selfish. If you're very lucky, they actually know how to come across as normal. I've only met two autistic women who fit that description out of like twenty.

Oh right how about those video games. Maybe in the next Persona we can have a whole bunch of Social Links with mental disorders. Might be interesting.

They were spammed to death and most of them were of terrible quality, just like Wojak and Pepe.

No. This is deliberate so that as few details of the protagonist's life is revealed in the game as possible so that they're easier to self-insert into.

This is the average p5 zoomer
