Is the multiplayer shit or do I just suck
Is the multiplayer shit or do I just suck
its shid
all three
It's shit. Console faggots say demons are op. Pc faggots say the slayer is op, which he is if you're not terrible at the game.
If you have a friend playing as a demon with you it isnt half bad. The teamwork is fun in demon mode. But its really basic and boring otherwise.
never actually tried it, does the slayer have access to runes?
and if yes, how would the slowdown one work?
like what would it look like for everyone who isn't the slayer, does he just move very fast or does the game slow down for everyone?
It's extremely shit
Depends, you playing on PC? probably full of hacks like every other PC game.
I am only above average at shooters, nowhere near zeromaster or even decino. I'm having a fucking blast with it. Both as demons and as slayer. I have like a 90% winrate as both slayer and demon. As a slayer only big dick players at rank 250 with like 50-70 boosters can actually pose a challenge to me. When you get a really even match, its fucking exhilarating. I say to all of you in this thread, get fucking good. The mode is really well balanced for both sides, at least on pc it is. Obviously playing as a demon has the potential to be more frustrating, but I also find it more rewarding as well. When you work together with someone to take down someone who you KNOW is good at the game (You can easily tell how good someone is by how many boosters they have relative to their player rank. Low rank+lots of boosters = good player. high rank+not a lot of boosters + bad player.) it makes your dick fucking hard bros. The mode has a lot of replayability because of all of the variety you can have on the demon side. Theres 5 of them all with different playstyles that can be mixed and matched. Each of these 5 demons also has 2 different archtypes, one that focuses on healing and the other on area of denial. Each of these archetypes also come with different summons as well. There are a good amount of maps that also change up what different demon mixups and matchups will have advantages or disadvantages. Sometimes you get tryhards who go pain-elemental + archvvile. Other times you get memers who go double mancubus. Its a lot of fun seeing the different matchups you see. Its my favorite multiplayer mode in a long, long time. I highly recommend trying to get into it if nightmare is too easy for you and you still want more Eternal to play.
>*high rank+not a lot of boosters = bad player*
Some of them like the speed boost after a glory kill are activated. Slowdown rune is not. You also dont get ice bombes in multiplayer.
you can cheat in battlemode using a fucking trainer, no joke
The worst thing about the multiplayer is that Bethesda insists that you let the retard kid from the short bus play in the same sandbox as you. i.e. the only reason why Bethesda.net account login is required for every PC player is that people stupid enough to have bought Eternal on the Bethesda games launcher need to be able to play multiplayer with the rest of the population.
I guess I suck because I didn't win as the slayer when I played
I thought it was the general consensus that if one of two demons is shit, the slayer always wins, and if both demons are good the demons always win. One good demon player can't survive alone against a good slayer player, but if another demon player plays defensive they can keep the offensive demon player resurrecting indefinitely until together they just wear out the slayer player.
It's ok. A cool concept, but honestly vast majority of people probs woulda taken snapmap or a horde mode over it.
This.
What the fuck were they thinking
Why not both would horde mode even be that hard to implement
I would rather have snapmap over it but fuck having another generic horde mode. Those get boring fast.
holy autism batman
Sorry i forgot this board is mostly twitter-immigrants now. I'll keep it to 3 sentences or less to avoid overwhelming you. Hope you guys are nice and stocked up on ritalin for the quarantine.
it sucks because of the laggy as fuck p2p connection. would be fun if it were for the garbage latency and hit detection and lagging warping everywhere
how do you feel about those annoying slayer players who just rush into your face and qucik swap ballista shotgun repeatedly. fucking ruins the game with that amount of DPS, and demon hit boxes so large that it's such a dominant tactic and can destroy demon in a few seconds. demons can't really out DPS him either, so the slayer kills a demon, regain his lost HP from the kill and can 1v1 the other. it's retarded and unfun when any slayer plays like this. and because of the horrible lag, you don't even know what happens before you are already dead to it.
In 20 games I have never lost a game as the slayer, and have collectively lost 3 rounds, and one of those was when I accidentally stepped in lava.
I have versed a couple well coordinated teams who tried what you described, but honestly it doesn't matter. If you know what you're doing on Slayer i really don't think they can kill you.
Are boosters the numbers in the bottom right of your name card? What does that mean?
>how do you feel about those annoying slayer players who just rush into your face and qucik swap ballista shotgun repeatedly.
not him but isn't that how you're supposed to play?
The multiplayer is alright,it's a good continuation if you want more of DOOM but it's unbalanced in favor of Slayer and also got major desync and lag issue.
That type of play can always be punished depending on your demon type. For example Mancubus punishes overly aggressive slayers HARD. Flamethrower has an insane amount of DPS. A clever ambush with a mancubus from behind can kill a fully healed slayer in seconds. Once you get better at the game, surviving 1v1 against the slayer isn't as an impossible of a prospect. Arch-vile in particular is incredible at staying alive for a long time. Flamewall+teleport away and most slayers will have trouble finding you if you executed your getaway well enough. As demon's you have to learn that you are essentially playing a cover shooter until the slayer pushes and uses some of his resources. Demons should be playing defensively most games unless you are going like marauder+revenant or something.
Yes. The amount of people that have added you as a booster is displayed as that number. Basically you can assign three different xp boosters to any player you come across. You essentially share your xp with them. The more xp the people you boosted earn, the more xp you earn. So you are incentivized to give them to very good players/players that play a lot. If you wow someone with your epic gamer skills, they sometimes will give you a boost. Could be because you impressed them, or because they assume that you must play a lot and are going to gain them a lot of xp. I have 25 at level 187. Its a little higher than average for that level, so you can safely assume I'm a pretty decent player. However, a level 250 with only 25 boosters, is probably a fucking shitter. At level 250 you don't even have to be good to be added as a booster. People just see their rank and go oh he must be good. If you see a low level player with a high amount of boosters, say a level 20 with 10 boosters, you can be certain he is a really good player for his rank.
I have 9 at 81 am I good user kun
Yes you are very talented I would not leave upon seeing your low level immediately
