Elves in western games are actually distinct from humans and play a pivotal role in the worldbuilding.

Elves in Eastern games are just humans with pointy ears.

It's not from the main story though, it's a DLC chapter about one of the main character's sisters.

They're generally a pretty shitty race whenever a setting uses them because they end up being human but slightly better and/or immortal and then nothing about how they're presented in the setting makes sense with that in mind.
