RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE

What are your honest opinions about this game?

B scenarios are fucking shit.

just give me a G5 fight and the end of the A scenario, remove B via patch, and forget it ever happened

Loved it, easily and completely replaces RE2 imo

Only if you didn't play the original and think it faithfully recreated everything from that game.

Do agree with this though like if you don't care enough to put in an actual B scenario just get rid of them

I agree that the B scenarios could have been better but I'm still glad that they found a way to implement them.

Based.

I played the original quite a bit, but I don't think it has to be completely faithful to be a worthwhile remake or good replacement. I will still probably play RE2 a couple of more times in the future, but any other time I want more RE2 I'm just gonna go for the remake instead

Exactly. Even though REmake 2 has a different gameplay style it still managed to retain the SOUL of the original and that's all that really matters. Both games share the same core.

Really solid. The missing bosses in B scenario are really a shame, and having like 0 music during most of the game is also awful, but beyond that the game is really amazing. The people bitching about crows and spiders missing are huge retards that aren't really RE fans. Great controls, the bonus damage from standing still was a great addition to the positioning based combat. Stumbling slow zombies remained a good threat. Lickers were repurposed and made to compliment other enemies in an area by forcing a player to play smart when they were around. Mr. X was nicely handled, but should have left rewards for killing him, and should have stayed down for longer.

Music became a non-issue for me after I swapped the soundtrack to classic. It manages to fit surprisingly well with the game.

Just beat this game with Leon. I’m a little bitch so I can’t play this by myself, but I’m still thinking about it and really want to start the Claire story. How different is the 2nd run and is it any tougher?

RE4 belongs up there in masterpiece but otherwise you got a decent list.

The 2nd run isn't that different although I do think it's a little harder. I would recommend you go in blind into it because it does have a few surprises.

i just didn't feel like making my list contain 5 games in "masterpiece" something had to give and it wasn't going to be those 3.

I've bought Revelations on every platform I own, hoping the game is good. I never finish it, but then I realize the real reason I've bought it so many times is just because Jill's got a phat ass

is it ok to like re4 now?

Yas Forums has always loved RE4.

Really solid core game that gets let down by some corner cutting and uninspired choices in the presentation. It proved that you can meld fluid controls and methodical survival horror, it's a shame that the follow up fucked up that balance.

Very well put.

did leon a on hardcore, couldnt give it more than a 6, have no desire to play the game again

This is correct.

this is an oddly fair ranking to find on V. i dont totally agree but its still pretty based

One of the best video games ever created, right up there with the original RE2.

fucking retard

>RE4 belongs up there in masterpiece

Apart from the story, the Remake is a massive improvement.

>5 in same tier as Resistance and only one above ORC
Fuck off retard. Go play it in coop it's the best game in the series.

Reminder that Claire A and Leon B is the canon playthrough

They should have kept A and B scenario different, as well as Claire talking to Leon trough walkie talkie or some shit. As they portrayed it, it looks like they're both in their own pocket dimension.

Source?

try actually playing the game. leon fights super tyrant and claire fights william 5

Something to do with Claire finding herself that Chris was not inside the station (instead through a note from Leon in scenario B) and Leon finding his police suite in a lock in his scenario B, instead of popping it out of thin air

This is further supported in RE3 remake when Carlos finds Leon's locker and suit in the exact same place outside the building

A poor imitation of a classic game.
Claire A Leon B is canon. There's no such thing as A and B in REmake 2, just New Game and Second Run. This is the mindset of you brainlets.
