This game was a 10/10 and anyone who says otherwise without giving a good reason muh gommunism isn't a good enough reaon is a disgusting fucking shitposter.

I'm loving it so much so far. Best game I got to play in a long time, I'm gonna get the fuck out of here now because I'm doing a completely blind playthrough.

>tfw calling the night club Disco Elysium and getting Kim to dance
>tfw the teleport scene, funniest scene in the game imo
>tfw Kim REALLY trusts you
>tfw the insulindian phasmid appears
I don't care what anyone says, this was a great game that I will remember for a long time.

I'll be starting my Hardcore playthrough next to try and see all the things I missed. I failed lots of checks and didn't savescum, as well as left several side quests unfinished because I didn't know what to do with them with my skill set. Let's see if I can prevent Ruby from shooting herself this time.

No, he was awful. Awful sense of humour too. The worst jokes you've ever heard. Really rapey. Still -- he'd been on it for *months* now. Said it was THE FINAL CASE. Said it was UNCRACKABLE. That the murderer vanished into THIN AIR. That goddamn hookah parlour was all he talked about.

Wrong. It isn't even a game.

Why isn't it a game?

It falls apart on repeat playthroughs qhen you realize just how little you can deviate the narrative. That sort of calls into question all the gameplay mechanics, conceptually, since they're sort of made around the idea of having a personalized experience. At least, it does for me.
Still a good experience initially, but I don't think it holds up well under scrutiny as a game.

Ending was unexpected, literally. I thought i'm going to final arc, but it's just a logo and no achievement at all. Time to replay.

It's a detective adventure game with very light role-playing. Path finding is in the form of exploring the environment and dialogue trees. You can't progress if you don't investigate and explore, and you certainly can't progress the way you'd like if you don't think about what choices you're making in the dialogue.

As an RPG, it doesn't really break ground. You can't transform the story in any major way, only small threads can be altered. That said, it's one of the best written games overall. The story and skill system work extremely well, and kudos to them for making a game that at least makes you feel like you're role-playing that entails zero combat.
