I initially put off playing this because Yas Forums told me it was trash and not worth playing, but I eventually played it and actually had a lot of fun. I've done a few playthroughs, played pretty much every quest in the game and its all good stuff. As for the DLC broken steel, the pitt and point lookout are good, but anchorage and mothership zeta are shit.
And its far from the buggy mess which Yas Forums claims it is, I've never run into any of the game breaking bugs which Yas Forums claims are everywhere in this game. The only bugs I've actually had are with the physics engine been goofy at times, with enemies ragdolling a bit too much upon dying and limbs stretching at times
Pretty good game really, if anyone has avoided it because of shit Yas Forums has said I'd recommend giving it a try

I would say 3 because it's the least broken of all the souls games, has the best framerate and hitboxes. Also it probably has the best build variety, it has a lot of iconic armor from souls 1 and 2 as well as a lot of new armor which looks great
None since pvp beyond invasions is trash and for subhumans.

2 by far in terms of 1v1 pvp matches and fight clubs. pvping on the bridge in dks2 when it first came out was the best experience i've had in the series. 3 isnt as good because invaders target worlds with phantoms already in it so theres no chance really
