Then STFU and go play those games instead of trying to get people to switch

Yeah Linux has plenty of native games, and for the rest there's shit like WINE. There's not really any argument for not using Linux anymore desu

Windows has better backwards compatibility, proton still has issues with a ton of games or at least requires some launch options to work properly, software support is better on windows, and Linux still has issues with some hardware. I could go on and on

Shitty drivers and poor hardware support.

As long as you're not autistic for FLOSS drivers it should be fine. I don't have any issues on my machine, at least.

For the most part yes, and it "works on my machine" too, but let's not pretend like Nvidia drivers on there work great or that there aren't weird issues with certain motherboard manufacturers.

Linux users aren't insuffe-

Works on my machine™

Linux is the name of the kernel that Linus Torvalds developed starting in 1991. The operating system in which Linux is used is basically GNU with Linux added. To call the whole system “Linux” is both unfair and confusing. Please call the complete system GNU/Linux, both to give the GNU Project credit and to distinguish the whole system from the kernel alone.

>Baldurs Gate
>Prey
>DOOM
>Fallout 2

Those are the only good games on that list

I mean yeah, there are always issues with operating systems. Take a look at Windows constantly crashing, BSODs, wiping user data, ect.
It's a trade-off no matter what you do. At least this way I get spied on less and have more customisation.
unironically yes

fags
Just because he has a shit selection of games doesn't mean he's wrong.
Battlefront 2 (2005), Painkiller Black Edition, and all Valve games are other examples

update your kernel

if he updates anything the OS will brick itself

he is not on the non-lts windows releases, m8

Using linux is a sign of virginity.

Getting mad at people for using an operating system that you chose not to use is a sign of autism.

nvidia drivers are still dogshit

There is literally nothing wrong with being a virgin

Again, literally works on my machine
I've heard of issues with Nvidia and Nouveau (and I've heard of issues with AMD of course) and I hate Nvidia's guts anyway, but I can only go off my experience, which is currently quite satisfactory.

>heh you're wrong, I'm going to reply to you to say how NOT a virgin I am

>WERKS ON MY MACHINE

Boot win using a hypervisor like virtualbox. Windows is only good for gayming.

If it literally does work on his machine, then greentexting the fact in all caps is not a valid rebuttal.

> Windows constantly crashing, BSODs, wiping user data, ect.
As far as I know, this is no longer an issue with windows systems. I think if you were having constant issue like that, there would be a hardware fault.
>unironically yes
Fair, but it doesn't excuse the operating system for it's issues.

I've always had trouble getting games to run well on linux, games that run perfectly on windows run like shit on linux even though everything else if faster
I'm not a linux pro

Struck a nerve, eh? Maybe you'll find a code to download a girlfriend one day.

I just had to troubleshoot my mother's installation because an update overnight caused it to fail to detect the hard drive as a boot device, speaking of

I mean how many do you want me to grab? It seems like every other update - at least - has some moderate to serious issue in it. Saying Linux has issues is irrelevant when Windows also has serious issues.

>neofetch

This

>easily legible breakdown of a user's specs is somehow bad
what did he mean by this

How do you know if youre friends with a Linux user?
Don't worry they'll let you know.

>Windows has better backwards compatibility
lol. almost all pre DX9 libraries are broken and older dojin stuff runs better with wined3d for windows

>being a nvidia cuck and using obscure, garbage, chink hardware

Its not, the issue is that Linux users can't go 5 minutes without telling others that they run Linux. Its probably because of a false sense of superiority they feel over others

I know half life and cs actually works pretty well on linux but is dark souls 3 actually playable?

Yes, dark souls 2, 3 as well as Sekiro are perfectly playable.

protondb.com/app/374320

Of course, its through proton compatibility mode

look for it yourself protondb.com/

>Linux Mint repo includes Hammer of Thyrion (source port for Hexen II)
>it doesn't include GZDoom (source port for Doom, Doom 2, Hexen, Heretic, etc.)
Fuck you.
>search software center just in case I did the apt search incorrectly
>there's a flatpak
>install it only to realize that flatpaks are garbage
Fuck you.
>go to GZDoom site
>they provide a .deb installer
>install that shit instead
>realize afterwards that debian.drdteam.org repo exists
Fuck you.
>uninstall the .deb shit, add debian.drdteam.org to my repositories, and just sudo apt install GZDoom
That's better.

I wish they would have just added GZDoom to the official repo, if they're going to be adding more obscure source ports like Hammer of Thyrion.

-es.

use dxvk for dx9-11

it's one of the few games that valve has officially whitelisted and playtested internally

yes it runs perfectly

>is dark souls 3 actually playable?
It works well enough that Valve officially whitelisted it for Proton.

>sense of superiority
The OP was more about being equal to Windows in terms of games, but I get your point. His neofetch is relevant to the post, though, as it shows he's on Linux. It'd be different if he posted in a "show off your steam library" thread with his neofetch.

M U L T I P L A Y E R . . . ?

Can I pirate games on Linux?

>mint
found your issue

yes

Dark Souls 3 is the only game on there even worth playing (Maybe Doom 2016 too, haven't really played it enough to tell)

works fine unless the devs are cucks that use EAC

Attached: linux.png (1145x700, 182.83K)

Why couldn't you?

>works fine
>He says when Punkbuster won't run

It's not 2010 anymore.

Based 2ch

you can but half the time cracks don't work with wine/proton

punkbuster, too, is cuck tier and you're a cuck for playing games that contain it

That's futaba, not 2ch.
