I know, I am actually hoping it's the original cast coming back to tell everybody what the fanfiction nufags want from FFVII is the worst route that ends to the apocalypse, but Square won't do it.

I am the biggest Final Fantasy 1 fan of all time. I alone see the potential for a full series reboot starting with that game. If a more competent company (led by me) gets its hands on the franchise, it will reboot Final Fantasy by remaking the first game with a AAA budget. That game just has so much potential. I remember playing it and being blown away by what I was able to create by using my imagination to fill in the gaps that the story makes you just imagine. There is so much potential with world building and lore. Like you can have your characters just see bits and pieces throughout the world of all these ruins, and they hint towards an ancient civilization that worshiped some demon lord named Chaos. Meanwhile you can also see bits and pieces of ruins and lore that hint at an ancient civilization that was so technologically advanced that they had a castle in the stars (it's a space station)
Fuck, I remember playing the original and getting to the space station and thinking how amazing that plot twist would be on a AAA budget. And then playing it again on modern remasters and seeing how they fucked it all up and turned it into a "castle" in the clouds. Fucking retards. It's a goddamn space station. Square Enix has not been a faithful steward of the Final Fantasy franchise and they CERTAINLY do not see the potential for a full reboot with the original Final Fantasy 1. Fuck them, I hate them, all of their games since FF12 have been totally soulless and uninspired.
