You're a bit weebier than I am but overall great taste
Haven't tried Fragile Dreams before though, how is that?

it's a very enjoyable adventure game, with a great sense of atmosphere and style
if you do play it, be aware of the different weapon types
the spear-type weapons give you a nice range advantage that sword and hammer weapons lack, which can be very nice for some of the enemies
good shit on comix zone, that was a great game

No.

6/7 (+DeSu, MM, Deus Ex, TWEWY, Cave Story, P4 -Civ)
I've never been able to get into Civ in a real way although I have spent hours of my time in 3 and 4 but honestly it just feels mindless to me. DeSu, Deus Ex and TWEWY are kino.

2/4 (+Comix Zone, Ghost Trick. - Bad Fur Day, Freedom Unite)
It's a little unfair to dock you points for Conker and MH since I dropped them both because they didn't grab me in the hour or two I gave them. I love JSR but never had an xbox so I have yet to play Future, I've no doubt its great though. Boktai interests me a lot - are the romhacks that remove the need for irl sun a decent way to play?

9/9
Very safe favourites but that doesn't make them any less great. I just hope you branch out and find some new favourites in the future, user - there's a whole world out there.

3/3 (P4, FFX, DMCV)
I've rated you before I still think persona 4 and FFX have poor writing and problems with pacing

5/6 (+DMC3, P3, FFIX, CT, Aria. - Hollow Knight)
All good although Aria and FES are only just about worth playing in my eyes. Aria is a cute game and I usually play it through once a year - but I think the castle has a pretty bad layout for a "metroid" style exploration game - the same reason hollow Knight never clicked with me. FES is good but portable is better

>are the romhacks that remove the need for irl sun a decent way to play?
Its a tricky thing
Because on one hand it does work and its the only real way to play it without owning the physical game, but it really really kills the experience imo.
Something about being able to just go from 0 to full solar power whenever you want just cheapens the experience in my opinion.
You could if you really don't want to buy the games, but I really thing something about having to rely on the sun itself adds so much to the charm.

3/4
i enioyed all the other persona games
1's gameplay and 2's story really stuck with me
3 is very good, ai management aside
5 is decent

That's perfectly fair, even if I still strongly disagree. What particularly sticks out to you as bad?

I understand exactly what you mean - I was worried that would be the case. Still, I might add it to my "to play" list and give it a shot soon.

Give me some games to play. I just finished the Max Payne trilogy but nothing has been able to keep my attention for more than an hour since.

Attached: thevideogames.jpg (900x900, 1.11M)

I didn't like 1 much at all, but completely agree about the rest.
If you have any interest, I do strongly recommend Royal; it continually shocks me how much better it is than 5 base as I go through it.

Maybe Dead Space?
FEAR?

you liked eternal THAT much?

1/1 (Custom Robo); two complete shots in the dark, but emulate Metal Slug 2nd Mission and play Aztez.
3/3 (Comix Zone, EVO, NGB); I'm having a hard time thinking of something, but I guess Lethal League Blaze works. I think you'd probably have a great recommendation for me based on your taste.
4/5 (+SM64 +DKC +Crystal +Smash 64 -FFVII); I get the feeling you'd like Lethal League Blaze too.
1/1 (Doom); play Heretic. Just finished it myself and I love it more than Doom & Doom II.
1/1 (DMC5); I've recommended you stuff before but I forget what they were. You ever actually play anything I told you about?
2/3 (+DMC3 +Sekiro -FF); drawing a blank but you definitely have a type. I might come back to you with something.
1/1 (Sonic 3); Spark the Electric Jester
I think you convinced me to get Sayonara WH whenever I see it on sale. Just looked up Capsule Silence and it seems really weird, but it's Anamanaguchi-related so it's interesting.
3/3 (Doom II, Sekiro, Iceborne); Titanfall 2

Attached: 3x3 Vidya.png (921x921, 2.16M)

Ninja Gaiden Black, Serious Sam, Thief: The Dark Project might be good places to look
also check out E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy and God Hand if they seem interesting to you

It's been a while since I've played through X all the way so I can't list off a lot of specifics, but character dialogue always felt stilted and stiff (and not just because of the voice work). The premise of a pilgrimage is a great adventure seed but the game never seemed to give me a good idea of where I was, where I was heading and the relationships between and significance of all the places we visited.
Persona 4 suffers from similar issues with character dialogue (steak) and also fails as a murder mystery/kid sleuth adventure because the pacing is all over the place, characters never seem to take action, and then the narrative pay off to the whodunit winds up being a series of coincidences set off by a weak trickster villain rather than a murderer with an actual motive.

Combat systems in both games is tight tho

8/8 A lot of good games there.
4/4
3/3 My favorite Gitaroo Man was Sans Bone Trio which I recall was tough as nails.
What is Wild Hearts like?
5/5 Do you like all MGS or just 3? If the series you might like one of the other Kojima games like Snatcher or Death Stranding. If you did not like the other games in the series, maybe Dead Space.

Attached: 3x3.jpg (920x920, 379.03K)

1's grid system put the game in a really neat place stuck between srpg and jrpg, which i don't see too often
it's too bad you have to go through the snow queen quest to actually get forced to use it, except maybe for a few of the later fights
as for royal, it would be a long time before i pick it up, as i can't justify paying full price for a game i've already played, but i am curious what changes have been made
2/2

Capsule Silence is weird and definitely not for everyone but if you like walking simulators then you might have a good time. It's a very comfy and engaging exploration game. Sayonara Wild Hearts is short but it's great. Also
6/6 (+Shovel Knight, After Burner, W101, DMCV, MvC3, MS3)
Fast paced arcade action is something I also like, I wonder if you have ADHD too? . Is that platinum transformers game actually good?

I do, yeah, when I see them on sale.
In the opposite of what I expected, I completely agree about X, but strongly disagree about P4. All of it is personal preference, yeah, but I found the pacing to be really relaxing and cosy when it should've been, and intense by the same metric. Also, the true villain behind everything is one of the reasons I love the game so much; it might not have been a strong character in its own right, but I adore the fact that *you* have to decide something still doesn't sit right and keep on digging instead of taking the ending that's offered to you.

Playing any games currently, friend?
Again, completely fair.
Same with Royal; I wish it was on a new platform or something to at least make the double dip have a semblance of appeal.
In general, it feels like they punched up the script and voice acting a fair bit, and added an additional scene to every social link rank, along with occasional interactions between characters that weren't in the base game.
It goes a long way to relieving my biggest complaint about base 5: a strong lack of character.

>Dead Space and FEAR
Played both. I enjoyed Dead Space enough to finish it once but I thought FEAR was genuinely boring. I might give it another go in a year or so.

Absolutely. I've never had a game blow away my expectations as much as Eternal did. I really think its a masterpiece of game design. I expected it to just be 2016 but better, and while it was that, it also feels like something new. Battlemode ended up also being really fun and I play it daily.

>Titanfall 2
Played it. Pretty good game but I'm afraid of really diving deep into multiplayer because I feel like its just going to eventually die again.

Played all of those but Serious Sam. Is the first one considered the best one?

I mainly just enjoy 3. 1 and 2 are fun romps but the arcade stealth isn't that exciting to me and both games basically just become action movies in the second half. I also hate almost everything Kojima has made after MGS3.

Good 2 AM to everyone.

1/1 Really like Majora's Mask, it's such an unique game!
Obligatory creativity appreciation shout-out to you, my dude. Do you mind if one day I'll change my 3x3 to take inspiration from you?
1/2 Love for STH3.
Would you recommend to me Gitaroo Man? I accept everything, well, aside from VNs.
1/1 Based RE4 bro.
Nice as always for MS user!

play dmc3 if you haven't

Bone Trio is kino, and it can be tricky because you start off without your Gitaroo and begin the stage in dodge mode rather than the charge part. The flamenco guitar rhythms are also tough.

Sayonara Wild Hearts is short, and maybe a little heavy handed and cringe in its narrative and visual story telling but it's better than the sum of its parts. Each stage manages to introduce a new mechanic or twist that keeps gameplay constantly fresh, the visuals are often stunning, and the soundtrack ties the whole thing together. You'll probably only get your money's worth if you like score chasing but playing through it for the first time from start to finish in one sitting put the biggest smile on my face with the constant surprises and escalation of action. Definitely worth a pirate if nothing else.

holy shit, i used to have that 3d spy hunter game
i don't think i got very far, maybe i should dig it out and give it a another look

>Playing any games currently
I am playing Pathfinder Kingmaker. I've been enjoying a lot so far. It's a good crpg. I heard it was buggy to hell on release but it seems to have been patched fine now.
>I mainly just enjoy 3. 1 and 2 are fun romps but the arcade stealth isn't that exciting to me and both games basically just become action movies in the second half. I also hate almost everything Kojima has made after MGS3.
Neither of those games are stealth and Snatcher came before MGS3. Not sure if you'd like them though from what you said. I'm leaning towards no though.

Would you call it accessible? I don't play many CRPGs.

the first serious sam is the best, certainly the one you should check out

>Neither of those games are stealth
Neither of the other 2 Kojima games I threw out as suggestions, Snatcher and Death Stranding, are stealth.

>walking sim
No thanks but it seems like a cool thing if you are.
>ADHD
Nope, at least as far as I know.
>Transformers
It's fantastic. While it's clearly a budget title you can feel the effort and the love for the license all over it. It has my favorite combat system in a Platinum game as well as my favorite overall set of bosses in an action game (there's better individual bosses, but TFD has the most consistently great bunch). It basically takes the skeleton of Bayonetta and places a bunch of new mechanics on top like vehicle mode, TPS mechanics, and Diablo-style loot/leveling. It's all tied together by Overdrive, a mechanic that increases the speed of your attacks the more you hit enemies, which creates a game about building momentum and keeping it at all costs. On higher difficulties one mistake will get you mauled because enemies move fast, hit hard, and have dodges and parries.

>I do, yeah, when I see them on sale
I legit can't even remember what they were.
>>Titanfall 2
>Played it.
Fair enough. I'll say Ninja Gaiden Black & 2 then.

Ah, my own retardation was the source of my confusion. Sorry user.

>Would you call it accessible? I don't play many CRPGs.
Maybe? It uses normal D&D rules and has some easy difficulty settings for new comers. It is long though. 150 hour range.

wahoo

Gitaroo Man is great and I'd recommend it to nearly anyone. If you're okay with camp/goofy plot and characters then there's no reason not to at least give it a go. The tutorial is a little over long but the opening really sets the tone of the game and the first stage/boss kicks everything off spectacularly.

Afterburner was one of them; very fun, I can see why you like it so much.
That's enough for me, honestly. Strong plot?

not to butt in too much, but i found fallout 1 a pretty solid gateway drug to crpgs
4/4
i don't see any bing bing besides maybe xenoblade, and you know yamauchi certainly didn't have that in mind in the mario 64 days

Playing FF12 and Nocturne right now. FF12 is beyond awful and I don't know if I can even finish it. Nocturne is alright, but despite playing on hard the game became braindead easy within the first few hours, the level design is pretty terrible, and the writing is extremely stupid weeb cringe.

Attached: 3x3 favorites.jpg (920x920, 416.29K)

if you don't at least get a kick out of serious sam first encounter, you owe yourself five bucks

>Strong plot?
Plots alright. The DLC character twins are the best so far. The plot is about you being an adventurer who gets your own land to rule and turn into a kingdom, also fey keep causing you problems.

>The DLC character twins are the best so far.
And also the goblin character. I also like that character a lot.

I plan on it, currently attempting to play through the entire series up to automata and oh boy the story is as fucked as I remember it being.

Love NGB.
