Almost all monsters have the same body type

>Almost all monsters have the same body type
>Low rank is piss easy
>High rank is fine
>G rank is absolutely ludicrously over the top bullshit with hipchecks the size of a continent, literally instantaneous poison backflips and beams which cross the entire map and ALWAYS one-hit kill anything they touch
>Can't lock onto shitty lesser monsters even if you want their materials
>MUST take a mission even just to run around and try out weapons

Why are Monster Hunter games such dogshit?

>Almost all monsters
You must be thinking on world

>Almost all monsters have the same body type
Are you talking about MHW?
Because MH4U, out of ALL the games you could've named, is the MH that suffers from this issue the least.
>Low rank is piss easy
As usual.
>High rank is fine
No, it's still easy.
>G rank is absolutely ludicrously over the top bullshit
Git gud you small pepee worldbabby.
Pathetic.
>Can't lock onto shitty lesser monsters
One to two hits kill them, you baboon, no precision required, press button get mats.
>MUST take a mission even just to run around and try out weapons
Oh woe is me, i need to stick to the structure and use 10 seconds or less of my time, in this 500+ hours game.

>Almost all monsters have the same body type
This is one of the only games to have multiple monsters with completely unique body types

>>G rank is absolutely ludicrously over the top bullshit with hipchecks the size of a continent, literally instantaneous poison backflips and beams which cross the entire map and ALWAYS one-hit kill anything they touch
Just play Generations, it's the best because it gives options that allow you to counter-cheese the monsters' cheese if you want to. Such as adept style, which gives you an insane dodge window.

If you wanted monhun thread you should have just said so.
Also
>best mon
>best armor
>best weapons
The game was great 4U

Monsterhunter Thread

FUCK, i keep forgetting this shit is how we make MH threads.
Every time.
I keep falling for it.

I love Seltas Queen!

I always wanted to ask: does the Seltas Queen just summon infinite Seltas trough the fight?
Like, if you kill one, she'll summon another.
But does she keep doing this forever if you just focus on killin summoned Seltas the entire fight?

Good thing you only had to face those Cephadromes once

Anyone else think this game and MH3 on the 3ds have dog shit controls? I can't stand them yet I've spent several dozen hours in each

>tfw no Seltas Queen gf to bully you into submission on top of her and force you to fight in tandem with her.

Is it weird if I actually liked Rajang hunter endgame. It's always been such a difficult monster and overcoming it felt so good

Kek, you wouldn't have survived one hour on PSP playing using the goddamn claw.
I still have joint problems in my hands i'll probably suffer from for the rest of my life because of that shit.

I absolutely hated MH4U endgame.
Turbo Rajang everywhere oneshotting you, bullshit mechanics that aren't used anywhere else, and a weird faggot Diablo mechanic for equipment that sucks ass.

MH4U is one of the best MH games in the series, but it also has dogshit endgame.

I got gated by this bastard crab. I hate it

How? I'm not trying to be mean, I just want to know how that's possible.

Do you guys save after you cart multiple times and finally win? I got a Gravios Pallium after failing like 6 times in a row and I feel bad. I don't need it but it's rare as shit.

>MUST take a mission even just to run around and try out weapons
There;s literally training quests for this purpose.

Mounting was a mistake. While verticality doesn't sound so offensive on paper, it's terrible in application. Every zone post-4U is just filled with obtrusive slopes and ledges that make monster encounters an extra pain in the ass to maneuver. That, and mounting is a crutch mechanic and hasn't really added any dimension to Monster Hunter's core gameplay. We got jump attacks, I suppose, but that should be a given in any action game.

iirc she can summon 5 before exhausting her supply
You'll kill her long before that though

>not using ledges to avoid certain attacks

They're only good for canceling roar knockback and the occasional tail-spin with a tight hitbox.

>Can't lock onto shitty lesser monsters even if you want their materials
Are you really that bad at using the camera and aiming your weapon?
I never considered a tracking camera for small monsters was actually a point of contention, but here we are

Yes.

The bitch will eat her drone too. She'll bash it's brains out and suck out the gravy.

Oh, and NEskill set should not exist. Pig disgusting.

>Savescumming in a MH game
Carried too, I'll bet.

MH G rank is basically an RNG fest for if you'll get animation locked that time, and if you don't you can say that you really learned a lot and got skilled at the game.

This is what they should have done for World. Increasing the difficulty of monsters and movesets at a constant pace while keeping your abilities bascially the same the whole way through obliterates my want to play past early end game.

I loved this game so much

MH games have the worst progression of any game out there.

Low rank and high rank are basically a 40 hour tutorial that you have to get through before you're allowed to play the real meat of the game, g-rank.

>force you to repeat the same boss so many times that you memorize every moveset so you can't get hit when they one shot

That's literally all there is to it.
