You talking about RS or WoW?

>another WoW Classic bait thread
Wow you FF14 trannies are STILL seething that a 16 year old game has more interest?
And for your information classic still has a huge population, hence blizzard re adding temporary layering to get rid of the 4 hour ques

Like a Classic+?
Blizzard is too cheap to hire people to do it, and they can accomplish the same with BC classic.

And looking at the community, it's a good thing they aren't involved in the development of the game anyway. Take a quick look at the subreddit, that's enough to prove that No Changes is the only right position.
People there are begging for layering (rip), QoL features, class balance and overall missing the point of classic.

Blizzard games are dominated by ZOOMZOOM minmax twitch kiddies who are unable to maintain a steady community and just want to work in their skinner's box while they listen to a podcast.
Basically they played vanilla like it was retail, doesn't help that blizzard mishandled the entire release in such a pathetic manner as well.

Blizzard's fanbase.

Because first and foremost people wanted:

>old world
>no group queues like LFG

'No Changes' was almost always a means to that end, because the logic was if change x is allowed change y could happen.

>the point of classic.
what is the point of classic?

If you want a real answer, OSRS is much easier to make new content for and while Blizzard could devote a larger team to it, for whatever reason, they don't want to. OSRS probably wouldnt be as popular as it currently is if it weren't for both new content and the fact that you can play it on mobile.

>want to work in their skinner's box while they listen to a podcast
but thats literally old school rs players too

Love

Kek true. But only some skills. Some require constant focus. Like I trained agility all day today and you need to click once every 3-5 seconds. Its chill though I just put on some music or whatever on youtube and hash it out

The point is, that sort of mindset is shit for vanilla.

The thing that really annoys me is their demand for free black lotuses for everyone.

NO!
The POINT of classic is that there are some things that are meant to be rare, only for the people who do something extra. If you are too lazy to farm black lotus, then your job is to admire the people who do, you don't deserve it.

There is one point here that's legitimate, that the higher server populations make them relatively rarer per person.
But.
Part of that increased rarity may be compensated by more intensive farming.
AND, their solution to the problem is completely wrong. They demand it as a random drop from any high level herb, and any other alternative instantly gets hundreds of downvotes.
But that's missing the whole point of the experience.
I think it's pretty clear that the intended, ideal experience of Black Lotus is that it's something you stumble across if you're super lucky, and then you feel really excited when you pick it. One, that excitement and possible PvP would be destroyed with Reddit's solution. It'd be a complete change to the whole feel, and removal of interactions in the world.

If it actually needs fixing, they should look at what the ideal black lotus experience is. And that is to suddenly be lucky and find one. If it needs changing, making it randomly spawn anywhere would be a better solution.

You’re a fucking retard black lotuses were supposed to be rare but the servers were made with 25% of the current players in mind

This is it. Black Lotus, and by extension flasks are supposed to be rare one offs that guilds hoard for when they needed that extra bit of ooomf for learning a hard boss, or when they were doing content they were underleveled for.
But imagine guilds actually having flask requirements for fucking vanilla content, on patch 1.12 of all fucking things.

Did you even read what I said?

Yes you made no sense. People aren’t complaining that black lotus are inherently rare i think they want it they are saying its TOO rare. Anything else you said was no argument you just rambled on. Take on the argument like a man or perish like a dog.

fish level?

Didn't they just hire a producer from Everquest for Classic WoW?

>hear rumblings in my guild of requiring flasks
>tell them that's fucking stupid in no uncertain terms
>they post that you either need flasks OR to drink elixirs
>do neither of those things
>still second in DPS for my class

it's fucking vanilla, people. balanced for 10 year olds with dial up. adults can do this shit without even buffing.

BUT user IF WE DONT HAVE SUB 30 MOLTEN CORE CLEARS THAN HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO TRADE UP GUILDS BEFORE BWL DROPS?? ? ??

A 1:1 recreation of the game as it existed to enjoy as a museum exhibit, nothing more. Problem is the damage was already done the day they decided not to implement server pop caps that matched the originals, in order to recapture what it was really like. The uncapped population all using a centralized auction house was such a hilariously amateur move. Everyone knew exactly what would happen because it's already BEEN seen on private servers. Technical aspects aside, the nu-WoW community is still unsavable, though.
>must be fully flasked, elixired, potted, enchanted, and stocked autist level of consumes to for (((progression))) and even farm nights, just so they can be cleared even more pathetically faster than they ever were, and with broken as fuck 1.12 talents
>game gets easier, community gets more autistic with its meta demands
It's surreal. Back then, we took any fucking warm body and most people didn't give anywhere near a damn about meters as much as these motherfucking kids obsess speedrunning it now jfc. HEEHUEHUE SM ZG cleave farm.
Literally soul | souless

runescape is LITERALLY grind the whole game

i never get tired of people /gquiting when a piece of loot goes to someone else either through KSK or council.

i raid to have fun with the boys, and i love seeing progression autists get filtered

Its soulless, the community is shit. But I understand why Blizzard went this route. I dont think it would be different with smaller servers. When classic inevitably dies they wont have financed so many servers and can get away with it cheaper. They are talking about perma layering now though which sounds like hot garbage

People got really angry when there was a strict buffcap that made enchants worse than nothing, saying it was amateur by Blizzard and it was a terrible change from the original
but
the buffcap wasn't increased until the very end of the game, well after the release of Naxxramas. Don't remember, maybe as late as a week before prepatch?
So was it really that bad? Compared to pretty much all of vanilla, the change was the higher buff cap that was added at the end of Naxx.
(not technically cap increase, but moving many "buffs" from friendly to neutral category, made it possible to have both enchants and world buffs at the same time)

Why isn't that offset by the auction house?
I thought the higher the server population, the lower the price of everything since everything is looted far more commonly.

Black lotus is on a respawn timer. There's only a set number avaible over a certain amount of time, no matter how hard the server tries they can never get more than that number.

The reason they went with this layering bullshit was because they thought it was a meme and after 1 month the population would drop like a brick. This way they wouldnt have to move people around in servers and instead just remove the layers so the leftovers can play together.
