Is there really any reason to play this instead of REmake 2?
Is there really any reason to play this instead of REmake 2?
Its a better game
More enemies, better writing, better exposition, claire 90's outfit boners, longer and more content.
Play this first and then play remake 2, I don't hate remake 2, but I am bothered by some decisions.
one word: SOUL
>nb4 all the soulless drones saying soul is a meme
>longer
Door opening animations and backtracking don't count as content. I've beat REmake 1 and I'm getting the same boring vibes from RE2.
No, for door animations alone
Based
unlike remake2. its not shit
They're completely different games
The music
Your question is backwards.
All you had to do was support RE on Gamecube
>ywn never get a remake of 2 in the same style as REmake
hold me, bros...
It’s worth playing for the A/B zapping system that the remake ditched. The original RE2 offers 4 different story play-throughs.
i did
and i regret every single cent i've used
should have pirated all their games from the snes
It's the best RE game so yes.
Just to know how is the original
They're not identical games. Both games are great.
This. GameCube was an amazing Nintendo console and now Nintendo plays it extremely safe instead of taking risks on interesting new IPs.
Ok retard lmao
A great game in 1998 and a bad one in current year. Not taking its credit away for being great when it came out tho
The crocodile is not a quick time event, the parallel campaigns make a little more sense. And Birkin is slightly different.
i even got a re4 gamecube version when 4 was released despite already owning one, fuck capcom and everyone who buys their shit
nostalgia, compare changes, experience a game from over 20 years ago... There are many reasons to play old games.
Based AND redpilled
Remake2 replaced this completely. so no no reason at all to play that fixed camera shit
I know your pain brother!
What a truly horrible opinion, Jesus Christ
I wonder if Wesker is a bad guy as he towers over everyone menacingly
As much as I would have liked that, RE2 Remake was really fucking good. I just wish it had spiders and the original Ivy designs.
At least play it on Dreamcast or Gamecube.
Haha nope.
>Séries started on The Playstation
>Yeah Lets fuck up by making exclusives toa dead console kek
If you want to play a good game yes.
it's not as good but fun
I think the Dreamcast port is overall the best. I always liked having the health meter on the VMU.
Well instead of buying a good game, now the series is a reanimated corpse on every console and PC, so good one.
Yeah, the atmosphere and music
>brand loyalism
klll yourself retard
fpbp /thread
If you didn’t have both a PS2 and GameCube during the sixth gen, you seriously fucked up big time.
Here is the way I see it: Remake 1, 2, and 3 are all decent games and while they have a lot of similarities to the source material, they make a lot of changes both in dialog, gameplay, and puzzles.
I would still strongly recommend playing the original on all 3 games as they still are great titles. REmake 1 is the one that gets it the closest, but it still does a lot of things different then the original.
truth, wouldn't say bad but clearly dated and not that great anymore
>Conceived by producer Tokuro Fujiwara as a remake of his earlier horror game Sweet Home (1989), the development of Resident Evil was led by Shinji Mikami. It went through several redesigns, initially conceived as a Super NES game in 1993, then as a fully 3D first-person PlayStation game in 1994, and then finally a third-person game with pre-rendered backdrops. Gameplay consists largely of third-person action with added emphasis on inventory management, exploration, and puzzle solving. Resident Evil establishes many conventions seen later in the series, including the control scheme, inventory system, save system, and use of 3D models superimposed over pre-rendered backgrounds.
retard underage
People saying soul is a meme don't get what it's supposed to mean. They think it's literally "old game good hur, new game bad dur" when there's more to it than that
It's way more fun, for starters.
