Why did AS never grow artistically? 99% of the stuff they make falls into the camp of bizarre sarcastic comedy. It's been like almost 20 years since they fot popular and yet they never tried anything else. The only shows i can remember that feel honest, as im actually honest not "here's an honest moment among the sarcasm" is that caveman cartoon show and the Joe Pera show. Im not counting anime cause they don't make that.

I mean there was Boondocks S1-3, Samurai Jack S5, Black Dynamite, and Ballmasterz which feel somewhat different from that kind of humor.

Boondocks is satire but it always has a point to it (at least when McGruder was on it). It has plenty of honest moments, both comedic and serious. Black Dynamite is bizarre but it plays itself as straight as it can.
