It's weird how No Man's Sky actually got better and better with every update despite being fucking garbage at launch whereas this game was great at launch but got progressively shittier and shittier with each update to the point of having an atrocious forced story that killed what little roleplay and creatibity you could have during the Beta.

Would probably work better if they had nonlinear progression, and incorporate a reputation system among each race, so you can do the artifact missions in any order, and craft equipment from other races.

I wish we still had had gear and armor that protects against environmental hazards.
It felt nice to wear the hoth gear to survive on an frozen planet even if that meant that you had to avoid combat due to its bad stats.
Right now it feels just like unlocking these regions with the suit upgrades instead of being specifically equipped to survive there.

Man, I remember giving this game a try a long time ago.
Installed some really good mods. Custom spaceship you can build block by block, high quality mechs of varying size and loadout, etc.
I had a blast but decided to give the game some more time to update since I didn't want to constantly pirate it and wait for the mods to update.
Came back a couple months ago and the base game way different than I remember and I can't fucking find the mods I played with.
Take me back time jannies so I can save that copy of the game.
