Having lurked their forums for quite a good amount of times since 1.09.4, it's a little surprising to hear the lead developer is going through a meltdown (over some inane character of all things). In the other hand, that can be mostly expecting. Having read of many posts written by Mystic (and Rob) in particular, I felt they have always enacted an passive-aggressiveness aura, coming with an imposed posture of being always the "righteous one". The person seems pretentious, arbitrary on its decisions, and biased enough to me, over many subjects such as his decision to disallow everyone else to be in super form barring Sonic.
Not to imply that, of course, SMS itself is (was always, too) not merely a lazy work with quite generic takes and very relying to style over substance. Although, I cannot now see any reason to be so much paranoid and explosive over the return of a old infamous, yet famous icon. That's unnecessary, and very unprofessional.
If you ask me, I would rather be worrying and concerned over that there is an exaggerated amount of anime characters in the SRB2Kart section.
