Again, yes, because its digital. Either the signal comes through and you see the picture, or it doesn't and you get a blank screen with a "No signal detected" message, and a more expensive HDMI cable won't change this. As long as the HDMI cable meets the specification of the output signal, the cheap ones are indeed just as good.

My GTX 1080 doesn't like DP for some reason, i always have to plug out the cable and than plug it back in everytime i put my computer to sleep or shut it off to get the picture back. Had to switch to HDMI.

you need some kind of noise cancellation tech. HDMI viruses are sent through the noise channel in the HDMI cable. or break the right pins on your xbox HDMI port to prevent the exploit from being possible
