No, it's not fun, in fact it's painful. Imagine if Super Mario 64 made you go all the way to Rainbow Road before you could get the second star in Bob-Omb Battlefield. That's Wario Land 3's shitty design in a nutshell. Even if you get all the powerups, you still have to figure out what events unlock what chests, ruining the feeling of exploration and forcing you to constantly replay levels. It sucks.
