There were one or two of those per zone in Shadowbringers. And CT was exactly that, except it was optional. So was Binding Coil.
But people don't want to do icky raids, so now raids are just circular rooms with a boss in it and they contribute shit all to the plot. Except Eden, Eden's a bunch of rooms with a boss in each and it contributes a little to the plot.
