It has a slow start. Push through and it opens up What you probably think is the end of the game, isn't even the halfway point.

Dark souls is a good game but its an action game with RPG elements. I'd argue that DD is closer to a true RPG, even though it still uses action game fighting mechanics.

How can DD be considered hard? You can easily outlevel every enemy on the game since they dont scale, after playing a while youll be oneshotting even the final boss

I'm just bad at it and don't know what I'm doing. How do you level quickly?

People get frustrated because the enemies (especially on hard mode and BBI) are extreme damage sponges until you get proper gear/levels to balance it out. While I'll begrudgingly agree that it's kind of shit balancing, the game puts a lot of effort towards trying to get you to understand that fighting everything isn't suggested or required.

You cant take shortcuts on the first playthrough, since there are artificial walls made of hard enemies keeping you out of certain regions. Just play the story normally and then you can start grinding in the postgame everfall, which you would need to take on Bitterblack isle which is a separate thing

You beat game around 70-80lvl. You literally kill everything in seconds. What the fuck are you even doing? Grinding lvls by oneshooting the mobs? I will never able to understand this build shit in DD. I wish it had actual content for high lvl play
