>did vagrant story requires you to kill a god?
yes then you become god after that

>Teases

No, he did some writing for FFXIV and said he used an idea he was going to use for the Vagrant Story sequel. A sequel he wrote down ideas for 20 years ago.

>teases
It's never gonna happen...

i hope that square isn't retarded and doesn't force the shitty teen as the protagonist like FF12 though. if he makes it as a more budget AA title it might go under the radar enough

Nah it's more about everyone being after a mcguffin in spooky dead city of Lea Monde and the protagonist getting it so no one can abuse its power.

Oh hey that's actually fucking dope. I hope they don't time ghost it or some shit.

>might be connected to FF16
LMAO

They will make Merlose the protagonist because her story is still completely unresolved

Never thought I'd see the day that Ivalice escapes MMO hell.

is there anything left? i thought she was really only there to act as someone to report the events to the outside world, at least partially. it has been a while and my memory is terrible

Projects that get teased like this are always cursed to hell. Be careful on your hopes, it's probably going to be underwhelming.

inb4 gacha

They were going to make her a playable character, but they ran out of budget

hopefully the rumors about him working on FF16 aren't true, i don't think i could handle another snorefest like XII.

It's dubious canon but the Ultimania epilogue implies she and Ashley will meet up again.

>He’d come to terms with being Master of the Dark and his duty, as he saw it, was not to rule, but to stabilize. Unlimited power had been granted him not to use as he pleased, but to enable him to smooth out the wrinkles where the world of the Dark collided with Reality.

>As Master of the Dark, Ashley knows. The path the survivors of Lea Monde will take is as plain as day to him. Callo, Tieger, Neesa, even young Joshua; any road they choose will inevitably lead to him. If not in life, then of a certainty in death. Their flight to paradise could go no other way.

>Under the black leather trench coat, his destiny inked fine lines across his back. Shouldering the burdens implicit in that contract, Ashley turned away from the now-bustling residence and began to walk. The rain-drenched alley ran ahead of him, the beginning of an endless path into a place of eternal twilight, a place unfathomable to the mortal mind; the seam where Reality and the Dark meld together.

>And so begins the story of the wanderer---- the vagrant.

dream died in about a second

>Just you wait

FF12 could have been a 10/10 if they simply removed Vaan & Panelo

I heard its actually to do with FFXIV

and the fact that they injected them only because they didn't want an old man to be the protag.

Ashe was supposed to be the protagonist, which is why the entire story revolves around, starts & ends with her

You're acting like Matsuno never used young protagonists. Vaan is basically Delita if he decided to not be consumed by revenge for all the wrong that was done to him.

Ashe was never supposed to be the protagonist but she always was the main character at any point in the story.

Is FFXVI and VII Remake made by different teams?

And made an actual good game with good gameplay with no bosses taken from mmos.

DONT YOU FUCKING PLAY WITH ME

Ashe was a main character in the fact that the story is centralized on her. So she functions more like a plot device. The intended hero was to be Basch but that got scrapped and we get Vaan and Panelo.

What the fuck was its problem?

Vagrant Story might be good but it's the literally gayest game of all mankind.

two thousand years of cool wine aunts slutting the place up, I'd be a cursed city too

That's exactly why it's good

Is that why it had so many fucking wine cellars?

HOLY SHIT MY DICK

FFT And Vagrant are my favorite games of all time if Square actually brings back Matsuno to lead a big budget project I swear I will pre-order 20 copies and forgive every single one of their fuck ups.

I don't even have 19 friends to gift them to but I don't give a fuck, I'll just give them away here on Yas Forums or something

I mean who else do they have left? a bunch of hacks like nomura? it's more than natural for Matsuno to get brought back

Ivalice is such a boring fucking setting that we already saw a dozen times.

Ivalice stronk

they might still be mad that FF12 didn't sell as well as they wanted to after they fucked it all up with tons of meddling though

>Vagrant Story
No one gives a shit. Give new Tactics Ogre.

It's like JoJo and FF tactics had a retarded 3d combat baby and that's why it's good.

>For our realm is sick. It suppurates with profiteers! Fawning merchants licking the boots of the nobility! They do nothing and blame others for their failure; they steal men’s dreams and twist them to nightmares... We must cleanse this corruption. There must be strong, unwavering justice. And there must be fear to enforce that justice.

I want both.

Nomura makes me want to go to Japan and kick his ribs in. I hate that he always chuuni's up any game he gets the creative lead in and fucks the story.
