I've finished the first palace (on PS3, non-royal) and I'm not getting into it. Every fight is me using weaknesses + rush to end the fights in one round. Seems really simplistic. There's also virtually no customization. I don't usually play JRPGs, if this is considered the pinnacle I don't want to see the rest

It was improved ten fold over the past games.

I could go on but it’s objectively the best combat system of persona.

The game opens up the more you play. It starts simple and gains tons of customization and options as you advance. Congrats for beating the tutorial though

There’s way more customization unlocked as you go along. Later personas you collect get much better more dynamic moves. There’s more unique weapons and items and customization of those later. The velvet room unlocks a bunch more ways to fuse personas too.

The first palace is the best part of the game of the game. Is all downhill after that, the writing in particular is atrocious

- Personafaggotry (Persona has always been a mediocre series, which means that any persona fan inherently has shit taste, therefore it goes without saying that they would hate the only good game in the series)
