It's because having more friendly phantoms increases the chance of an invader being sent to your world, but obviously that works both ways and means invaders have a higher chance of being sent to someone with friendly phantoms

Aldritch faithful is a way to get sumoned with other invaders and its super quick i have been invading none stop for the whole day
because dark souls is far more fun with other players. dark souls 3 though is made by a bunch of idiots, so the host has a massive advantage with the 15 estus flasks proving once again that dark souls 2 had the best invasion and PvP
it really did the pvp in that game was amazing and it was easy to change loadouts

I invade for a challenge. Solo hosts are boring.
Anyone who considers invading in souls games to be "a playstyle" and not just playing the game as intended is a little bitch.
It would be best if they just left invading alone and stopped meddling with it, if we ever see it again. Original Dark Souls had the best invasion mechanics, small handicap to the invader, usually but not always outnumbered.
I think a lot more people are using phantoms just for pve too so you're constantly running into squads

Blue phantoms was always a weird system.

On top of that, it requires multiple different covenants being equipped by all according parties simultaneously. This makes farming ears in DS3 a real shit.
