Uncharted deaths aren't that brutal. Compare other deaths with games like every CoD, or Manhunt 1 & 2. Plus Uncharted is for 14+ teenagers, I guess the most brutal deaths are usually of antagonists such as Harry Flynn, where he killed himself with a grenade.

It's fairly clear throughout all the games that Nathan Drake is a fucking narcissistic sociopath/psychopath. He chases infantile dreams of glory by chasing lost artifacts with no real other purpose than just for the satisfaction of finding them, despite this he goes through a fuckton of trouble, and over anyone who stands in his way. In his mind it's all rationalized as "being a hero", illusions of grandeur.
