FUCK DRONES

>LOL FAILURE TO FEED YOU'RE DEAD BUDDY
I hate this gun. I hate it so fucking much.

Fuck automatic guns. Give me fucking revolvers, at least they don't jam.

Reminder that you can put a bullet in the chamber of all semi-autos apart from the Hi-Point because it is hot garbage by locking the slide back and hitting Z whilst not holding a magazine, releasing the slide and putting a mag in.
Also the Desert Eagle is the best gun. Good sights, decent magazine, manual safety, and it can penetrate armoured drones and send them into the upper atmosphere.

I really like having to babysit the glock so it doesn't murder me, but yeah, the revolvers are just straight up better because the awkward aiming and low ammo makes magdumping a really bad idea, so the advantages of semi-auto are vastly reduced.

In something like H3VR, the reverse is true, capacity is king. There's a 30 round pistol in that that makes me cum every time I get it, because it means I can just plink heads for days without worrying. Meanwhile with the revolvers it takes you half an hour to reload them and you're constantly being chased by half a dozen hotdogs.

Reeks of viral marketing here, ngl

I don't get it, what does it do ?

I have this weird feeling that one of Wolfire devs made this post

Basically gives you another round before you have to reload.

>Take a break
>Lose a level
But why

It's to stop shitters just save and quitting right before they die or if they run out of ammo. The game really needs a grace period when you rank up though, to let you quit without penalty.

Threat tapes are too obvious, at least they should've put some tapes that start normally with a mundane message gradually turning darker
>The history of the Colt is an extremely interesting one dating back to the nineteeth century, even though it has fallen out of use in the past decades it still will do a fine job if you want to blow your brains out, do it, splatter your mind on this floor and finally you'll be at peace

>hear a lot of stuff about these games now that the sequel is now
>realize I have the first game already but never tried it
>play it for an hour and give up
it's a neat concept but it just isn't for me. I'm too impatient and get killed by drones I didn't see at first glance, I have terrible aim so disabling drones and turrets is difficult, and I have absolutely no spacial awareness so I get lost super easy (and the fact the building is a bunch of basic rooms that looks similar and have few defining traits doesn't help me any). it's a shame because the basic idea is pretty neat, but I'm too stupid

>no VR
It's shit

This is needed. Fakeout tapes would keep you on your toes.

that's what you get for being retarded and not running away

you think that until you realize that they have garbage accuracy making it impossible to snipe drones

just lock the slide with the glock. hold G, hold R, T, release R. somewhat awkward but better than forgetting to hold tab for one second longer and wasting a precious bullet

Are jams as absurdly common as failure to eject with revovler were in original?

>running away
Pretty silly thing to say desu considering the drones chase you and he would have had to fire his weapon sooner or later

The devs did an AMA and said they want to add lots of stuff to the game and also - as a high priority - work on the de-ranking stuff. Game is good, definitely get it.

Yes

that would just lead to unloading the gun before any tape and having to sit on your ass since if you get unlucky the effect will kick in right before a turret/drone. also you'd still be able to memorize the dangerous tapes.
better idea would be to tie the concept into the environment, like having creepy paintings and tv's trigger suicide

>considering the drones chase you
you can easily outrun them and they only follow up until the last seen location
>he would have had to fire his weapon sooner or later
now which is better: calmly aiming at a stationary drone or gambling it all on a lucky shot against a waving drone?

it's weird. on some runs I never get a single issue and other times I get like 3 different malfs in a row.
in total I'd still say they're fairly rare

is this game just h3vr for poors?

This game sucks

>gambling it all on a lucky shot against a waving drone
Except it sounds like he waited until it was close enough that luck wasn't really a factor in whether or not he hits it. So really what has happened here is he made a series of decisions to lure the drone in so he can increase his chance of killing it with the least accurate gun in the game and then it jammed. Why did they even include the hi point? Why the fuck would anyone with any knowledge of firearms want to conjure a hi point of all the weapons you could bring with you to fight for the survival of humanity against a transdimensional interloper who in the world would select a fucking hi point

I am literally incapable of going past 2nd stage. Those fucking drones

i can't wait till all the people having trouble with drones encounter ARMORED TURRETS

>falling for vr meme
Yikes

>Except it sounds like he waited until it was close enough that luck wasn't really a factor in whether or not he hits it
no matter the distance it's a gamble because you may hit a non critical point and get fucked.
and again drones love to wave around like crazy

eh, armor isn't a big deal. surprise buttfuck ceiling turrets and goddamn cameras are far worse

>drones love to wave around like crazy
No they don't they come directly at you, it is piss easy to shoot drones out of the sky with literally any weapon

you're right, have fun pressing z y g x in the right order to reload a gun, highly realistic

>the constant jams enhance immersion for the people who have only ever shot Wolf ammo irl

depends on the environment. if there's nothing in the way, yeah but add a slight wall or something and they go apeshit

How do I climb down ladder without breaking my neck ?

Is it worth playn without vr?

treat it like it's a half life ladder except that it actually works

>highly realistic
>realism in videogames
Lol

>It actually worked
Color me surprised

it is obtuse in it's complexity but that is clearly what they were going for, everything has to be utterly deliberate and done with focus to get it right. Doing this under pressure is 100% what the game is about.

There is no vr option. Flat screen only

The high chance of fuckups is explained in one of the tapes as "the threat" messing with probability to make anything that can go wrong go wrong. Not that that makes it any less annoying to end a run by shooting your own dick off because you held down the holster button for .99 seconds instead of 1 second

>Having creepy paintings and tvs trigger suicide
Pls no I'm scared enough of this game pulling a jumpscare out of its ass at me already

Attached: 1578461493732.png (303x305, 100.51K)

>"the threat" messing with probability
also the tapes/notes mention that guns spawn in garbage conditions, likely due to the limited mental power of the protag

>press your face up against a wall
>in a game about firearm safety, this points the weapon directly into your own chest
10/10 design there guys, whoever thought that one up is a complete fucking retard
