Before Crisis established that cloud has always been a savant at swordsmanship. The only reason he got passed over for SOLDIER (correct me if im wrong here) is that he failed the mental/emotional evaluation which kinda make sense since the man has a disdociative idenitity disorder for like 3/4ths of his own game.

Cloud was an overall badass as a grunt. He could move around in the snow as fast as Zack, pick up the buster sword just fine and was strong enough to pick up Sephiroth while stabbed and throw him into a generator

First off, Cloud was always a good warrior. He literally defeated Sephiroth, a geneticly spliced freak and the best SOLDIER in the world, without any specialized training or any sort of Shinra enhancements.

Second off he got experimented on by Hojo after the fact and was injected with JENOVA cells, basically just enhancing him in every way

He's a fushion of Zach and Sephiroth like how does this even happen.
