It always hyped me the fuck up thinking about helping an entire platoon through the infected city streets. If Prototype was an RPG, it'd be nice to be able to help Blackwatch footsoldiers. They were better in the first game.

You can become a woman, not necessarily ugly or attractive, in the beginning, middle, and current days of heavily enforced quarantine, with all of the trappings that brings. THough since you're a living, shapeshifting virus you could made her look how ever you want.

I've been meaning to play this game.

Which makes no sense since you can already BE a woman in game. And the Virus identifies as male,, but its by all rights gender fluid. They'd be bigots to assign a gender to it/xi/xer!

I don't know why they had to make a shitty comic to explain why Virus Alex is evil when he probably absorbed enough evil humans to hate people in his own game

Thing is, despite all of the evil people he absorbed, he still cared enough about people to save the entire city. THat was the greatest overarching narrative of the game I think. The oG Alex was an absolute monster. But the monster who became him was human. He cared, and he cared about Alex's sister. He was a hero, and they fucked all that up for no reason.

We could have gotten Good Alex vs Bad Alex. Instead we got Heller vs. cartoonishly bad Not-Alex.

If ever I get wishes from a genie, I would wish for that. But let's face it, it's been too long for them to get back together as a studio to work on Prototype. These franchises are just not big enough, sadly.

The virus "identifies" as male because it thought it was Alex, and Alex was male. Put a woman in his position and it would have assumed it was a woman.

I'd eat enough knowledge to become an expert in every useful field, then I'd fuck off to a nice remote area where I can enjoy life unimpeded.

Why did Alex seem like the bad guy? Was Heller just being a meathead?

No, he was actually turned into a bad guy for Prototype 2. I forgot the details but, in the comic, he went away to like Alaska or something with this chick. Then she betrayed him somehow, turns out she's some Blacklight agent or some shit I dunno, so he killed her and deems humanity is too rotten to be saved.

I thought I was the only one. I would sneak in as a soldier and just act the part of a good soldier for as long as I could before dying. God, one of my dreams was to be able to play as a Blackwatch soldier or whatever, since those guys just oozed some weird charisma.
