Why are PC gamers so obsessed with RGB lighting?

i like to match up the colors with my desktop background

>RGB lighting
explain to me what "RGB" lighting is

Different colours have different effects on your build

Red lights make your GPU faster

I hate it, but sometimes the part only has lgbt lighting. Fuckin fags

I made mine red white and blue and put US flag stickers all over it. USA #1

I'm not though
I got a prebuilt and the first thing after booting was to turn all that trash off

closet gays

LGBT

>All the good parts that are decently priced and reliable are now filled with RGB shit
>Even some SSDs have RGB shit now
>MFW

>The parts that don't have rainbow puke are more expensive
They know bros, they know...

>Even some SSDs have RGB shit now
Can't you just break them?

Your autism is showing, user.

>people using words they don't even understand is my autism now
yeah fuck off

they're not really, they've mostly just been told they are by companies to make some extra dosh, those companies probably drummed up enough numbers to convince other companies they need to follow suit to compete, and so they slap in some cheap LEDs

what's more curious is how people are barely aware that you're supposed to customise LED colours anymore because all of the marketing material shows it in rainbow mode

I hate it, its cute to have some on ur case, but annoying af on keyboard and mice.

Why break perfectly good equipment, especially that which you can turn off in software?

>Buy RAM
>It has RGB LEDs
>ON THE FUCKING RAM
>Have to download bloatware to turn it off

because customizable lighting makes sense since people like different colours and buy different coloured components
rainbow strobing is the most flashy way to demonstrate custom lighting

Other than being able to see your keyboard without turning on a light, I don't understand the appeal.
Ditto glass side panels on a pc tower.

>letting faggots take all the fucking colours away
same way india still uses the swastika and didnt let the nazis take it away from them, dont let people take stuff from you

>could have your RGB do things like change color based on system temperatures
>instead make it puke rainbow colors like a gay parade

LED lights that are made as a group of three, with one red, one green, and one blue. By varying the brightness of each individual color, you can create a wide range of mixed colors. The appeal is easy customization and color changing without having to repaint a case or anything, you can just change the light color.

why are consolebabs obsessed with RBG lightning?

Thanks for confirming it.

>have your RGB do things like change color based on system temperatures
>worst colour is when everything is fine
>best colour is when everythings on fire
i'd rarther have red lights than green shit

great, you described how led lighting works, now how about rgb lighting?

fuck off

>Had my Xbox 360 for years
>Never once got the red ring
>It's still fully functional to this day
I'm convinced it was just a meme.

the software should let you change the color to whatever you want. something like blue = idle, green = small load, red = heavy gaming, purple = overheating

RGB lighting is red, green, and blue lights on gaming peripherals to make gamers justify how much they spend on accessories. It also makes them feel cool, for some reason.

Are you fucking autistic? If so, you're an autist that's actually retarded. LED is not necessarily RGB. The term RGB is more fitting in this case.

A friend of a former coworker wanted to ask me about what motherboard to buy so he could control his 2 fans on his case, because the one he had didn't have the 4-pin RGB headers.

I'd say that's a bit obsessive with RGB...

only kids are

>take old shitty pc
>slap in a crappy gpu and rgb lighting
>sell it to kids for markup
easy money
