One of the reasons NC said that he was retiring was because he was no longer passionate towards that series(he hated it) it was clear that he was running out of material. So I actually agreed with him trying moving on.

What was garbage was his revival of the series and him feeling the need to throw in a supporting cast along with some shitty skits, like y'know the reason why demo reel flopped to begin with. Add in some occasional uneeded politics to his show and you got the "new NC".

Dont get me started on his terrible movies

NC wasn't that good, it was around at the right time, before Youtube was really big for content creators and AVGN was the hottest shit online (their crossover helped NC out way more than it did James).
The reason TGWTG (Channel Awesome) as a site and network faded into memory was it literally couldn't hold up to better content being made for Youtube.
The e-celebs of the past thought that more skits, crossovers, silly fighting and 4 hour long "epic" movies was what would get people excited about their content and it just wasn't.
At least not anymore.
