it never was

it was never worth starting

based

its was a product of its time and that time has long past

cancelled my sub after second week of bwl, there is literally nothing to do and everyone is trying so hard every char looks the same and uses the same exact build, it doesnt have soul anymore

WoW Classic is literally only for people who played the original when they were kids.

If you *really* want that classic MMO experience, XIV really has yet to be topped, and is better than WoW ever was.

Asking if a game is good on Yas Forums is like asking if Yas Forums liked a movie. Regardless of whether they did or not, your only response is going to be endless shitposting. These are not boards upon which to base an opinion on anything.

you will never be a real woman

Sure it is but theres no denying the shortcomings of it either.
Some classes or specs within are broken and unusable
Alot of classes just dont have gear to even progress to or their gear is hot garbage.
Leveling hits a brick wall at 20 and 40, its designed to waste the players time as much as possible with alot of travel and several quest deadzones.
Theres plenty more but thats what immediately pops into head, but i never played classic before the re-release and ive enjoyed it but like i said its aged and is missing alot of universal conveniences

Wait for BC. It gives every class and spec some valid options and a useful role as well as removing the huge quest droughts. Admittedly it also brought with it the utter chore of daily, rep grinds and every BC zone bar two being ugly as sin but it's worth it to have every spec actually be playable.

TBC isn't going to be fun mate.

Private servers min-maxed meta for TBC is much more boring and tedious than the min-maxed meta for Vanilla.

You cant recreate the original game (where 1-2% of the population min-maxed) in 2020 where 98-99% of the population is min-maxed.

WoW was always about having a huge casual base, with a few min-maxers, which is why Classic is completely fucked.

The most hilarious aspect of Classic WoW is watching literally hundreds of nu-hardcore players trying to rank up in PvP. You can play literally 16 hours a day and still be #9887 for the week or whatever and peak at Stone Guard. The salt and tears are legendary.

Go join a private server. Don't give your money to CHINA.

Yeah but roll on a chill rp or pve server. If you got time on your hands, you can easily hit level 60 in one month. Gearing isn't going to be an issue, some classes get decked out in epics after one molten core, and the catch up raid zul'gurub was added last thursday.

It was worth playing up until November 2019

it was a nice bit of nostalgia but it just isnt the same

If you do, play an RP server. Everywhere else is full of absolute tryhards who want to pretend to be good at a game they can google everything about

no

maybe if you play on PvE servers, otherwise play horde.
Its slow with content and the main fun experience at launch was leveling and questing with peeps, you might get this but a majority of people playing will be raiding on their mains and multiboxing on smurfs.

It's fantastic ATM on a RP server. Started 2 weeks ago. No modern MMO is even half as good sadly.

It was so good when it launched. What the fuck went wrong brothers? Why are shitzzard faggots so incompetent?

Allowing sservers to have 100k population which is NOT authentic to the Vanilla experience is really the core of everything bad tho people dont mention it enough because zoomie has FOMO and must play on the megaserver with the streamers. Thats the reason Phase 2 was a shitshow as well which tanked the subs by 50% ,

It was the best MMO I've played in like 15 years... for the leveling process and most of endgame. Once your endgame becomes farming raids though it falls to shit.

Technically other MMOs are better for raiding, but raiding is and always has been complete shit in every MMO ever. I have never played an MMO that actually made raiding genuinely fun, as opposed to a time-wasting exercise with discount action gameplay in the form of simon-says boss mechanics and the sheer fucking cancer that is dps rotations. The only reason people ever liked raiding was as an excuse to sit on voicecomms and socialise, and it wasn't very good at that because it caused endless fucking arguments over loot and roles.

So yeh, classic is worth it for the leveling process and doing all the quests and dungeons at endgame, which will probably take you several hundred hours of gameplay. It's pvp is also... ok, but very bursty which makes it formulaic. Your mileage may vary.

That's because you didn't play a rogue. For some reason, mages and warriors make up like 40% of every server. Easy pickings.

FFXIV sucks dick, especially when you first start out. It just lacks so fucking much compared to even wow that it's not even funny.

imagine using your sub to play this when you could play retail

You are 15 years late to the party

As long as you play on a 50/50 faction ratio sever leveling is great but the game nose dives at 60, raiding is boring not worth the time investment

I thought i wanted it but i didn't

But also this

Ive been playing classic since day 1 as a warrior. Ive been maintanking all dungeons and raids and while I have some fun, it is not worth it. The game is pretty shit and the only thing keeping me going is the friends I made in game. WoW is truely a shit game, and the nostalgia wore off decades ago. Those playing classic have a death grip on nostalgia, and its not enough.

I made it to the SM grind and had to quit. For me it wasn’t worth making it through the grind this time, which happened to me frequently on retail but on retail I would just RP for a couple weeks until I felt like grinding again. Nobody was RPing yet though

Just play retail
