it will probably sell less only a bit than part 1. Though if the reviews comes out and the game is really good, like around 90 on metacritic its possible the game will sell more than the first part.

That's only because the FF7 fanbase are literal fanatics that would probably try to get you canceled if you criticized it.

digital sales have been boosted, but physical sales tanked. Also Animal Crossing was the REASON gamestop was ordered to shut down and lost its business license in some states. So obviously you aren't going to see the physical sale hurt until after. I was one of those people that went digital even though I wanted a physical copy.
