is it even possible for it to die? >flops and fucks up since it's existence >people rage and moan >everyone forgets valve's mistakes in the next sale >they don't even do good sales anymore >don't care, they pretty much own a legal money printing machine at this point (steam)
are you blind? it has nothing of value on it. its dying a slow death.
Noah Brown
Why would you want to kill Steam? It's the best thing that happened to gaming.
Jack Ortiz
post your platform and digital storefront of choice
Michael Howard
>DRM is my favourite development in gaming
Imagine having this much of a trash opinion
Levi Cook
>Reducing Steam to DRM You're not the smart kind, are you.
Xavier Walker

I like that Valve is actively improving Linux gaming.
Joseph Cooper

I suppose I did forget about the fact that they log your chat and web browsing history within the platform, their constant legal battles against consumer rights. Man you know what I'm convinced, Steam is truly the best thing to happen to us consumers, so based!
Owen Ramirez
>dying so slow the userbase still steadily growing I hate Steam just as much as the next guy but you are talking a lot of shit right now
Gabriel Long
Steam is pretty great
>all my games in one place >easy to keep track of wishlist and sales >good recommendations >very easy to use, no obnoxious 'design' in your way >extremely easy to play with friends, literally just right click friend and click join game >steam workshop is amazing for mods >seriously, imagine cities Skylines or rimworld without steam workshop >valve developed some of the most iconic games in history
Name one bad thing about steam that is not based on some contrarian memer opinion
Joshua Flores
DRM, you can not defend it, I too use steam and this fucks my insides hard.
Zachary Miller
>privacyfag Figures. Keep on seething over literal non-issues.
Henry Myers
>>they don't even do good sales anymore Are you just talking about the gay ass events? Sales are as good as always discount wise, you just already bought everything you want probably.
Cooper Campbell
>>all my games in one place Hasn't been true since Battlefield 3 for me.
Evan Martinez
dont try and look at cp via steam browser. Dont solicit cp from others in the web chat.
Benjamin White
Retards keep spending on games they don't play so unless steam has a major fuck up along the way, it's unlikely steam will ever die.
Alexander Clark
Delusional DRM existed before steam. Steam DRM is not even that bad. What's your problem with it?
Nolan Reed
Steam's DRM is so easy to trick, it actually goes against the design philosophy of such. You could say it's a positive.
Jeremiah Torres
how does the DRM get in your way as a paying customer
Ethan Scott
If EA can keep going, so will Valve.
Isaac King
Just stop talking about pedo shit and you'll be alright...
>nonce
Nicholas Scott
Consumer rights? Steam has provides the best consumer rights out of any platforms, I have no idea what you are smoking. Where else can you trade games, have regional pricing, and have such easy-going refund policies?

Liam Hill
Online DRM was a rarity before steam, particularly for single player games.

if you have javascript enabled in your browser, you cannot make this argument
James Bennett
>how do you kill steam? Deprive them of their food source, kill the PC gamer to kill Steam.
Sebastian Hall
I also love Steam, but the new UI is something I can't get used to. Would have been nice to have the option to go back to the minimalistic UI.
Aiden Hughes
>Provides
The only time Valve does jack shit is when the EU jumps down it's fucking throat and of course they spend most of their time denying consumer friendly choices.
Steam would sooner be sold off than die, but there's no real analogy to be made. Digital storefronts with purchases linked to permanent accounts just don't have any analogue in real life. Anything crazy that happens here is uncharted waters, we'll just have to see it when we see it.
Isaiah Wright
Steam is to PC gaming what Windows is to operating systems. It's not getting dethroned unless the industry crashes.
