BfA was such a disaster that Squeenix doesn't even need to try to stay ahead, they can rest of their laurels and players will come to them as they bail out of WoW.
I think good competition is healthy for the MMO scene, even if there's only a few left.
If WoW can succeed that means my game will have to strive to be better too.
Hopefully you end up with an expansion you can enjoy.

I keep switching between both games when they have a lull, and unfortunately they both do right now.
WoW had an expac with horrible systems and a gutted 8.3 patch. Shadowlands had a stellar expac launch but a severe lack of content in content patches since.

Legion turned out okay at the end but since cata nearly every expansion has had overall been a shitty experience save for a short month where it was actually somewhat fun

People attribute this to ffxiv, but both of these games have been picking at GW2's corpse for pretty much 100% of their content for years now
