the story in bf games is already short as fuck. if it was any shorter it would be cut from the game... i'd rather see the coop missions cut. i don't think bf games have AMAZING missions but for what they are I had a lot of fun with them and liked the direction they had of telling a few short stories about people who sacrifice in wars. at least bf1 and v had that nailed with the somber music and suicide missions.

that's a really good point. it sucks having buddies to play bf with and not be able to squad them all up. the only other way i could see it working and not be too powerful would be to let squads link together so maybe they don't share the abilitys across all squads but icons linked squadmates would stand out more among the randoms in the game. maybe i'm dumb but can non-squaded friends have their icons changed to different color to make them contrast against the rest of the team?

It's set 100 years in the future, all the weapons and gadgets are futuristic but not TOO futuristic. The conflict could be between two corporations. Every time you spawn you get launched out of a big spaceship that's hovering above the map. They could call it: Battlefield FUTURE or Battlefield TECHWAR, or Battlefield 2142, or something.

Battlefield 1 but without visual recoil, suppression, bayonet charges, the melee aimbot, grenade spam and some of the new movement options from BFV. Keep the gunplay mostly intact but improve the range on most SMGs, also keep the gunplay because Reddit doesn't understand how spread mechanics work and it makes them lose their shit.
