I think it's a combination of me being too old and jaded. It's bad enough when someone is telling me how to play a game, but when I'm clearly better than them, they tend to double down on their stupidity a la Trump. Maybe I just can't stand Americans, but they're the majority of the playerbase in most games.

I don't have any friends online. There are people irl I am close to, but I hesitate to call them "friends." It's too late, I think, to make friends online. It's virtually impossible to penetrate established online groups. I've resigned myself to solo stuff.
