Would you buy it on this ?
Crisis Demastered

What's with all the fucking remasters? Have devs ran out of ideas and suddenly realised that hardly any good games have been released over the past decade?
I never thought I'd live long enough to see Crysis meme on Nintendo handheld
Holy shit i feel so old
No. But not because of the graphics disparity.
I wouldn't buy it because it's a game that never interested me in the first place, so why would I start just because it's available on Switch.
What is this game about and what’s the big deal of it being on Switch?
look at the industry, all of the big budget shit stain companies have driven off all of their artistic talent and now are mindlessly churning out remakes like the movie industry.
People without the Switch think the Switch is affecting the quality of other platforms in spite of engines being incredibly versatile nowadays. It's speciously reasoned othering.
It was the big PC-benchmark game of its era.
If it's being "remastered" elitists would like for it to be a benchmark product again. One that lets you brag about your rig.
Obviously the Switch isn't much of a rig.
It being on Switch isn't even a factor. A switch is way more powerful than a 2007 PC. That's just a fact at this point. Also Crysis 1 in it's original form was unoptimised garbage and still runs and looks worse than Crysis3 does.
Also going by the trailer this "Remaster" looks less photorealistic than Crysis 1 actually was and tried to be. It's way more videogamey and bloomey and plastic and nonsense looking with oversaturation.
Are we seriously so far in the future that kids no longer remember THE "...but can it run Crysis?" meme?
It being a Switch isn't a factor since Remastered is based on the 360 port of Crysis 1, which was a version of the game brought over to Crytek 3 and released digitally for $20.
Watch this remaster be $50.
I’m 21 I don’t play pc shit or know epic pc gamer memes
No, but people forgot what the actual game looked like, and instead keep posting ones with modded textures and ini tweaks, like yourself. For example, Crysis 1 has bad transparency aliasing without major tweaking + forcing gpu driver settings, which didn't exist back in the game's release.
>I’m 21
So a LITERAL consolitis-zoomer.
>instead keep posting ones with modded textures and ini tweaks,
That is an official vanilla screencap, you stupid little mut.
>Also Crysis 1 in it's original form was unoptimised garbage
This was always the funny part about people bragging about being able to run it. Mild chuckles also elicited from it being rather poorly art directed and not a very good game.
I'm curious how many defined breakpoints are in the game's trees and flora, because they need to save all those states. Presumably a case of it only writing shit you fuck up, which in theory would mean the game runs worse the more you fuck up the foliage up in a given map, unless it employs smoke n' mirrors and respawns shit after you break a certain threshold.
I honestly do not know, but it seems that 07 Cryengine did brute force quite a lot of stuff. The main drawback of the OG release is its extremely limited multicore support, as the devs were relying on the CPU clockspeeds to keep on doubling every few years. Instead, we started getting more cores and threads.
They do NOT need to be stored.
They need a relatively simple script allowing trees to separate into two different meshes at the edgeloop nearest a detected bullet collision.
That specific bit of what you're seeing really isn't a biggie.
Apparently it's being made by Saber Interactive who did switcher 3 port so i'm guessing it's going to look like beaten shit yet somehow manage to run. Wonder how it's going to look compared to the 360.
>beaten shit
After the update, Witcher 3 looks pretty... Witcher 3, on Switch though.
I think they'd know what they were doing with this one. But it's always tricky with game whose art direction is "make it as (((realistic))) as you can!".
>Wonder how it's going to look compared to the 360.
Probably the same? The only question is how CPU demanding that port was, which is Switch's primary weak point relative to those two last-gen consoles.
I did play the 1 one when it came
are the next 2-3 worth it ?
i really wanna see how bad it will looks and run on switch
and how tendies will say "it's ok, it's portable!" all the time
Will that scenario bring you satisfaction?
it's funny
Looks like shit, what're you trying to prove here?
I don't even have a switch and I hope it turns out well. I find it neat that they can get demanding games playable on portable systems.
I'm fairly confident it will run very fine on switch given its native resolution is 720p and it's already a lot stronger than ps3 and xbox 360. With the more modern engine it's probably a safe bet that it'll look like the orignal pc version at 30fps, on a low resolution, with some minor quality of life changes.
They already got more demanding games like doom eternal running on it so I don't see how this could fail.
OP PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SWITCH LOGO. IT IS A PC ENGINE TESTER. I REPEAT THIS IS MADE TO TEST PC'S.
>Crisis
Everytime I see Cysis typed like this I think that poster must be braindead or demented, or both.
I bet you can’t run that Crytek raytracing demo at 60fps
its apprently based on ps3/360 version so you can kiss the original freeform suit controls goodbye
I'm now reminded of that one LTT vid where they software rendered Crysis on an AMD Epyc
>it's already a lot stronger than ps3 and xbox 360
suuure
>safe bet that it'll look like the orignal pc version
lmao retard
Oh boy, I can't wait for more downgrades. Over a DECADE after original release.
pretty much, didn't warhead also release a year later and ran way better with the same exact graphics?
it's on par with the wii U which is at least 40% stronger than a ps3
What the fuck. Do you know how low the requirements are for 720p 30fps? Even without the new engine it's pretty darn low.
I don't even need to insult you for this.
OP THIS GAME WILL NOT BE MADE FOR THE SWITCH BECAUSE IT'S MADE FOR TESTING LATEST PC TECHNOLOGY
>on par
It's not. The Switch is more powerful.
It took the best PC hardware of 2007 to run Crysis at 720p 30fps, and the Switch isn't nearly that powerful.
>Boot game
>Crytek logo shows up
>"MAXIMUM"
>"GAY"
what did they mean by this
>40% stronger than a ps3
lmao!
I've never realized there is a chink flying at supersonic speed, top kek
Which is why Remastered is based upon the last-gen console version, which runs on CryEngine 3, better suited for consoles.
no but if you didn't play warhead you are missing it
It took the best PCs to run that game at the time because multicore CPUs were barely a thing, and the crysis engine doesn't use more than like two threads. The remaster is in the newer engine which probably supports just about as many cores as you throw at it.
Nothing you throw at crysis runs the game well because of its old ass engine.

If they got this game to run at all on xbox 360 and ps3, then this will run like butter on stronger hardware with proper optimization.
pity (You)
How bankrupt is Crytek then?
>a remaster of the worse console version because crytek are poor and desperate
No thanks
>+ forcing gpu driver settings, which didn't exist back in the game's release
why do people make this things?
it's because they are 18? (one wishes)
Which is why it will not look like original PC Crysis like user said, but the shitty console version.
*these
*is it
>Have devs ran out of ideas
yes, long ago
