Comfy Animal Crossing Thread

Graphically speaking, can we all agree this is the best looking Animal Crossing to date? Everything, especially human villagers, are incredible in the looks department.
Though I think next game should give humans cartoony 4-finger hands and add gloves as fashion items. For the purists, add "round hands" or a legacy item that makes players have ball hands.Don't change the bare feet. They're perfect as is.

Isnt there supposed to be an update soon? Earth Day is in a few days.

>recent game in the series is the best looking game in the series

I mean, this isnt really an accomplishment

>You can buy different designs of the tools and customize their colors
>they still break

I don't think this game was designed with durability in mind.

Maplestory has varied and identifiable gloves with round hands, if that game can do it, Nintendo could do it for this. Yeah I can't help but admire how nice the game looks. It is hard for me to now look at AC gamecube without upping the render on Dolphin

They carry over.

yeah but since nintendo willing to do update for this any day of the week regardless of their usual release schedule (thursday or friday in japan)
we might get it maybe monday, since earth day is on wednesday

Bros I really want Flurry to move to my island

I'm a bitter oldfag who is playing this game purist as fuck and even I think the ball hands look really weird on the new models.

The grass is still really boring to look at

I miss my weeds so fucking bad man

fucking jap, i swear to god

grow the weeds or do pattern

I do really enjoy how expressive the villager is, but the environmental art looks flat to me. Not that I’m unique at all for saying this on Yas Forums of all places, but I still find the original Animal Crossing’s style to be the best. The ground tiles, earthen ramps, and static camera are tightly woven into my memory of what “Animal Crossing” is supposed to look like and this game looks a little too sterile by comparison.

And MAN do I really hate that the fishing pole breaks.

I really wish we could rotate the camera in New Horizons while outside.

The ball hands are the only problem.

They should have had mitten hands like the villager in Smash.

I have an extra stone lion-dog recipe, anyone want it?

>look how hard I can pee!

The store needs to hurry up and upgrade already. I'm seriously tired of looking at the rickety ass first one.

but why is she crying?

vr ac

Anyone still got gates open for Turnips? Need to cash in my sisters because she wants the millions I made

>Creatively bankrupt on what to do next
>can't give up the game until I'm happy with my island and have a 5 star rating

4 star hell is so suffering

do those hybrid flower 5x5 fields even work? I water mine every day and nothing grows

I can give you a bamboo wall recipe for it

>On the one hand outdoor "wardrobes" provide their own type of convenience
>Still miss NL's ability to simply have full access to your home's storage

Also, still looking to see if I can track down a camo helmet, preferably in white, to make for a complete outfit. I've got it raining in my town if you want to try fishing, and I'll drop down duplicate fossils if anyone wants to claim them.

How are you getting river fish from a pond

i think need week is the 4 weeks mark when it will upgrade
a time traveller told me it will start selling 1 50+ or 100+k item every day

This.
GC animal crossing may have the worst graphics but the art direction is the best of any entry.
Also the best soundtrack hands down.

I bought turnips at 95 each, and Nook's Cranny is buying them for 105. I've already sold half of them. Should I sell the rest now or hope that the price goes higher?

>tfw took up too much space on my island doing other projects so now I’m forced to put my villagers in a commieblock for space efficiency

Goddammit.

Have you ever eaten river fish? They taste like mud. Like they literally taste like mud mixed with ocean fish that went bad. They're shit.

I unironically would love this. I'm not talking first person perspective though... Imagine being like a spectator, where you can just sought of look down on your village

Messing with lights indoors and seeing actual lighting effects is some shit.

Come check out my island for inspo or whatever. Both shops are still open, I’ll be eating so I’ll just be at my house.

Have you ever considered that you might be a shit cook?

>not making a nice pleasant neighborhood block so that your village has a town square with shop stalls and decorations and roads
>then making the rest, literally 70% of the rest of the island, just fucking wilderness and trees and shit.

Japan doesn't like 4 fingers on each hand, it would have to be 5.

ive stopped going outside my town or friends’ for turnip prices

300+ bell prices are supposed to be rare. now one in every 250 people who get it come here and say “GATES OPEN no tip just leave a post.” It’s a frustrating experience connectivity wise, and people leaving with “-“ are the worst people in existence. everyone just puts up with so they can speedrun through the experience.

terraforming sounds lame anyway, I like my lived-in town.

Well it'll give me something to actually spend money on for a change.

Nah, trout's good.

I have it already, got any bathroom items I could catalog?

Solid colour shading always looks great, and ACGC's use of much darker colours just makes it look better.

The newer games aren't really washed out or anything (at least not to the extent of pokemon) but just nothing ever uses dark colours for shading anymore. It's always just bright colour and slightly less bright.

No fucking way

Too bad lighting doesn't fucking work at all during the nighttime outside. Street lights are fucking pointless. If they really need to just make a shitty little circle of light under them.

I have a urinal

Had a connection problem

This is actually the only AC I ever played. Did they recycle most animations from previous games, though? I ask because Flick looks like he's animated better than any other character in the game.

The next Animal Crossing will look that good. They can't make it look that good on the switch because they have to maintain high framerate even with a ton of shit is happening, like rain 10 villagers moving around your screen, multiple players, waves crashing, fish being caught trees being chopped, etc. The Mario Kart track is extremely static so they can push the graphics further.

>Not having a neighborhood that 3-4 villagers live in and country estates for you and your absolute faves

They don't. The color of the tool is randomized every time it shows up in the shop.

maybe her butt hurts

Shit, internet is choppy, sorry to anyone who wanted to come

Just show restraint with the terraforming. I only use it if I need a couple extra tiles somewhere or want to make an incline look like it's built in.

The less fresh ocean fish are the worse they taste. They develop this terrible gamey taste that just gets worse until the fish goes bad.

River fish have this by default. It gets worse, but it starts out worse. River fish is just awful. In addition to that, most of the more commonly eaten river fish have a dirty taste in comparison to ocean fish. Catfish is the absolute worst for this.

There are tricks to wash the meat to remove that bad taste by soaking it in milk. But it's never enough. It works fine with ocean fish but with river fish it's never good enough.

I used to live by the ocean now I'm stuck far in the mainland near rivers. I miss the fresh sea fish. Now Everything good has been frozen for a while and the price is jacked up. Everything local tastes like mud.

Meteor Shower tonight.

Anal with no lube

I started playing recently. I'm taking a "allow anyone" policy with villagers and so far i have Caroline, Rodeo, Ketchup and Renée with me. How am i doing? I especially like Renée, her "yo yo yo" catchphrase is cute. Shame she's a starter so ugly house.

>but I still find the original Animal Crossing’s style to be the best. The ground tiles, earthen ramps, and static camera are tightly woven into my memory of what “Animal Crossing” is supposed to look like and this game looks a little too sterile by comparison.
That's because of nostalgia. I'm the same way. The gamecube game has a certain beauty to me that can never be captured by any other animal crossing game. That beauty is the years of good memories playing the game when I was 10. NH objectively looks better, it just doesn't capture those wonderful feelings of nostalgia that the old game does for us. Nothing they can do about that.

Never even consider selling until you see 200. Even then I might hold.

Hey drawanon, are you here?

>can we all agree
There's nothing to argue. It's literally graphically superior. fuck off

only 3 villagers so far and I've already made a mess of my island. anyone have any suggestions on where to put the plots for my next 2 villagers? I also may have messed up with my bridge placement. Can I put a plot in an area that would otherwise be unreachable for a villager? I'd hate to force the next 2 villagers onto the sliver of land on the west side.
