Is this worth playing if you'll only be playing solo?

no, just finished it and while the gunplay is great, the enemy ai is retarded and just stands still half the time, the areas are boring and get repetitive and the story and dialogue are cringe

I heard actual gameplay is decent enough, same level as borderlands 2, but writing, story, etc are so fucking abysmal its just not worth it

in some scenes, there's an excuse that you are still in the vault, but when typhon deleon dies you literally have no possible excuse as you just fought in that exact room.

Yes, gameplay wise is the best game in the series and that's all that matter, looting and shooting

Borderlands 1 is outdated as hell. There are so many problems in that game that were fixed in BL2 and BL3.

Tyreen and Troy being his kids is the perfect example of how they destroyed the stories potential for the game, they could have been great characters. I saw that twist coming from a mile away and when it was revealed it was only an echo log conversation and mentioned in passing and had no weight on the story.

Borderlands 1 gameplay is beyond garbage by today's standards

Tyreen is hot, Troy's boss fight is cool, and the planet arcs were great. I just wish they followed through all the build up with Troy, but otherwise, game was a solid 9/10

They fixed the fun for sure. Borderlands 1 had it's problems but the combat was tight, firefights actually felt like battles instead of point and click simulators. In 2 and 3 if you have a weapon with accuracy above 70 and are within 100 feet of the target you are hitting that target 90% of the time as opposed to 1 where it had to be 85 accuracy at least to have a good chance of being 50/50. The graphics are better in the newer ones and the sound design and animation are better but the gun fighting is emptier because you can be sure you will hit your target 90% of the time, it sucks the fun out of it.

Also they drop great weapons too often, I feel like I can cheese every boss
