If you only played Nintendo games and have never experienced an open world game or a game that utilizes physics it might seem revolutionary but for the rest of us, it was super lacking in terms of main dungeons and interesting environments. They had a whole world to build and rather than actually fill it with unique zelda shit it's just shrines of self-contained mini puzzles and koroks. Like imagine if instead of just making a bunch of repetitive mini dungeons there were like 20 really fleshed out major dungeons. Imagine actually exploring the ruins of Ganon's tower and reading diary entries about his descent into madness or something similar.

I mean there are several other issues like the nonlinearity meaning the difficulty curve is completely nonexistent. It's a shame that the hardest part of the game is the plateau.
