The pot simmering was comfy as fuck.
Loved those little waterways that ran under the walls. Not sure what they were for - fresh water? Cooling? Sewage? - but I ended up recreating them in my Minecraft builds years later.
Literally any screenshot from Majora's Mask has this effect.
laundry pool
if I ever make a game I hope it can have half as much SOUL as mujura had
Aye, but did they lead there or come from there?
No, wait, I'm guessing that the water supply came from the fairy fountain, so it must've split behind the clock tower and led down the merchant district in the west, splitting again before it reached the plaza. Same with the east side, except the west side water course must've split again midway to turn into the laundry pool/rivery section.
They come from Ikana Valley.
The water comes from Snowhead, flows into Ikana river, and is then irrigated to Clock Town's Laundry Pool and the sewers in the Clock Tower, before being dumped into Great Bay. The water from the river also goes into Southern Swamp.
Makes sense. I do recall the Ikana river dumping me straight into the swamp. I can't remember the river running into Clock Town, though - is it underground, or is my memory washed?
On a related note, I've seen this map dozens of times, but it keeps screwing up my orientation. I keep thinking that the Great Bay is to the south, for some reason, with everything else being turned appropriately, despite playing this a lot when I was younger and knowing better.
Wouldn't it lead there? If it's laundry pool then they'd put the dirty clothes in to go there and be washed?
Yeah, it's underground.
Like, they'd just let their clothes float down the chute and go clean them up later at the laundry pool? In a place with known thieves, surely that'd be irresponsible. And who knows how many people just drop their clothes down and go to the pool at the same time - your clothes would be mixed in with a bunch of randoms, swirling around and shit.
Muh immersions.
tags on clothes that the inn sends to be washed, besides who's gonna steal dirty clothes from a river?
Pervs, obviously.
There used to be trade servers on TF2 that had a clocktown map and they were chill af.
Can't find them anymore.

that onion is just a 2d cutout.
How is this soul?
prerendered 2d sprites can be soulful, idk why you think they cant. many times they allow more detail than a simple 3d model
