What is modern developers love affair with fog? I feel like everyone is taking inspiration from superman 64.

I'm not really that excited. It's probably just going to be graphical/performance improvments.

I really like this game (first half to be precise), but there are many aspects that deserve rework/rebalalance like AI, suit modes and weapon attachments. Second half needs full remake.

The worst scenario would be if they dumb it down to fit with later Crysis games and pull out original out of digital stores.

We're bordering Hollywood levels of creative bankruptcy at this point. A game released a bit over 12 years ago doesn't need a fucking """"""""remaster""""""""", unless they're drastically improving the gameplay and adding new content, there's absolutely no point in buying this glorified enb.

I'm hoping the assets get remastered too, PBR would really help and a lot of the assets look pretty poor now.

Easy way to hide level of detail changes. Everyone but you understands fog and haziness. Even in your clear day picture there's still significant haze near the horizon.

I think ya'll're thinking too hard about this. It'll probably literally just be the first game except with better performance (wow, multi-core now!), and higher res textures and more effects. That's it. And it's not a bad thing. Crysis desperately needed to be ported to a newer engine because the old one runs like crap on new CPUs.

Wow, so like every other videogame company. Of course they always show their best and then dial things back for the release product. But at least in the case of Crysis and some other games, you could tweak some cfg/ini files and get some of those dialed back graphics back.
