it's a hidden gem
It's an Ubisoft open world follow the icons simulator, so it's barely a game.
It's a great game. Yas Forums is just retarded and calls literally every single video game that ever exists shit if you can't play a big tit big butt QT3.14 japanese girl and download porn mods so she's naked.
i always wondered if it would have done even better if they didn't release it so close to GTA V
ruined by terrible combat
I liked it and I dont give a fuck what this place or anywhere else thinks about it.
1 is still the better story though and would be the better game if not for that fucking swamp which is a representation of everything else wrong with the game.
3 is overrated, yes. It's still good, and looks great considering they decided to consider consoles as well.
I just wish they hadn't dumbed down the plot and the mechanics to accommodate console players as well.
>1 is still the better story though
it's not
the mutants plot is retarded fanfic
If you want gameplay that's more in line with witcher 1 and 2, try this
nexusmods.com
it overhauls every gameplay mechanic and adds some cut content, too
no people just dont know how to up the difficulty
Played it for the first time when it came out
I'm replaying right now and for the first few dozen hours or so I was having such a blast by just exploring and doing witcher contracts, I was beginning to wonder why I didn't remember the game more fondly or why it didn't came to mind when I thought about the best games I've ever played
And then I started getting into the main quest and I realized why, my god I unironically think that Bethesda games have better main quests than this shit
Witcher 3's main quest can be boiled down to "waaaaaaaaaah where's muh surrogate daughter", "waaaaaaaaah interdimensional elves" and "waaaaaaaaaah I need to suck my daughter's metaphorical dick otherwise she won't be able to save the world"
The franchise itself is retarded fanfic.
>Protagonist is a grumbly, autistic superhuman who constantly gets roped into affairs far above his station
>Women constantly throw themselves at him cunt-first
>Gets shafted for the donut steel girl with ancient space elf magic
>Realistically she should have been raped and/or murdered a dozen times throughout the series
>Gets away with being fingerfucked by a dyke and eventually kills her captor through the power of Big Daddy Energy, knowing Geralt is fighting for her freedom
>Everything was pointless in the end because the Emperor, responsible for the deaths of thousands in his quest to kidnap and rape his daughter, has decided he changed his mind right after telling Geralt and Yennefer to do sudoku in a bath
if you have the expansions then you should give them both a try, they're far superior over the main quest
I'm really liking Witcher 2 now that I give it another chance after all these years. How's Witcher 3 by comparison?
i only did the man plot and liked it anyways
the baron portion was cool
the portion with triss and mages was cool
the portion where you help kids of that viking dude was a lot of fun too, the giant's island especially, reminded me of when I was younger and happier while playing WotLK years ago
It's also good, but I don't like the vanilla story nearly as much as 2's Iorveth path. Unfortunately CDPR only accounted for the Roche path.
3's expansions are much, MUCH better than vanilla.
It honestly is way too fucking long. Maybe that's a good thing, so much content in one game, but I got tired of it when I reached Skellige and that's 147 hours in. It just isn't all that well paced and it's pretty clear to me right now that the Wild Hunt evil guy is boring as fuck. I know the DLCs have a better villain, but I can no longer find any real motivation to continue.
OG Gwent is amazing, though. Shame that Northern Kingdoms deck is the only one you'll be using for the vast majority of matches.
Yeah I haven't played the expansions because they weren't available when I first played it, which is one of the reasons why I decided to replay it
How true are the memes about Blood and Wine being so big of an expansion that it feel like it's own game? I mean, I know you get a whole new area to explore but still
Shut the fuck up, you retarded moron.
>but I got tired of it when I reached Skellige and that's 147 hours in.
What the fuck?
My first playthrough was like 65 hours. Thats including the DLC. I didnt do every single quest but I did all the main eons and important side-quests.
I probably reached Skellige around 30 hours.
i think blood and wine is longer than entire witcher 1
You are a retard.
Gonna debate me, or you gonna just whip your tiny dick around?
there is no debating a retard, you just drool all over the plays and scream you won. nobody should waste their time on you.
Would you?
>Answering for someone else
Go to bed, Timmy
Yes, the media circlejerk doesn’t reflect people’s actual opinion on it. So by default it’s overrated
it got boring in the city
The Witcher is a poor man's Conan.
I'd rather fuck the tranny elf
or kill myself
They're not even remotely similar settings
That's not really true. Both are heavily inspired by generic medieval fantasy. Aside from that, almost every trope is there.
Marry, kill, fuck
