I just played this and it's pretty bad. The only cool thing is the swinging, which the new Spiderman does much better.

I heard that Rearmed 1 is cool but Rearmed 2 is a bit "meh"

Only played Rearmed 1. It's not an amazing game but it's pretty good considering it was just some throwaway remake Grin did while developing the "proper" game. Most people seem to like it. Never played the 2nd one. It was not made by the same devs and was not as well received so I just never bothered.

One of my most favourite remakes.

Why? What are the differences besides better graphics?

I don't know I never played BC before playing Rearmed.

The xbox exclusive sequel was such a disappointment. It's bad enough they took a PC title and made the sequel a console exclusive but they watered down the gameplay so fucking much and for a platform that comes with an analog control stick as standard there's no excuse for that flight model.

I will always remember Bionic Commando. Even that game.

People remember BC09 entirely due to Marvel, but his inclusion in Infinite was just stupid. Literally no reason to bring back Spencer of all characters, especially 09 Spencer, except that Combofiend likes him.

There was a guy working at GRIN around the time who loved Bionic Commando and basically talked his way off the 09 team and onto the ReArmed team. When ReArmed was done he took a sabbatical and then just decided he'd rather quit and become an indie dev instead of work on the reboot. He went on to make the Gunman Clive series and Mechstermination Force.

Also I think BC ReArmed is the only remake so well-liked that it received a sequel that the original game never got; it was literally called ReArmed 2.

This game had some interesting parts drowned in mediocrity. I liked how it showed you the consequences your YEAH I'M A REBEL DOING TERRORISM antics had on regular people. Shame it only happened once and had no bearing on the plot
