XCOM

Can you retards actually talk about the mechanical changes their making for this 'experimental' game instead of bitching about the window dressing?
>Playable ayys
>Pre-set squad mates with specific abilities
>Breaching phase for the start of missions, with specific entrances into buildings built for specific alien squadmates
>Alternating turns for all units on the map
>If any squad mate dies the mission is a failure
>Looks to be you fight human and alien enemies
>Devs claim it still supports modding just the same as XCOM 2 did (since it's built on the same engine)

>Pectoid is a shield unit

Modders win again.

>their making
Fuck I'm retarded too

Seems interesting desu
And ut's only 10 bucks, will probably last less than 10 hours but I enjoyed both nu-X-com so it might be a good snack.

Praise be to Musashi and Claus

The best part about this game really is that the Viper, Sectoid and Muton can be backported to XCOM 2 for proper alien allies with a few texture and mesh edits. They have custom alien clothing that was lacking from the existing mods.

*custom human-made clothing

The new combat system with the rounds sounds interesting but it looks like it will make things too easy. Now you can easily save any of your operatives unless the aliens somehow get 4 turns in a row and focus on a single one of your units.
I hope somebody mods out the Mutans or finds a way to replace them with the old model. Muton race is uncanney valley. All the aliens are also just generic looking humans in makeup too so now we lost the only thing wich made the aliens great in the first place. Squad members not being allowed to die is horseshit since it means we have to see them again in X3.

I'm gonna Xcoom to those snake ladies

>Now you can easily save any of your operatives
Seeing as you get a game over as soon as any of your units die, isn't that kinda the fucking point?

Based.

>equip condom
>99% not to break

I’m not expecting much, but it’s not a full game or anything. Something to waste some time until they make an Xcom 3.

If it was a normal XCOM game I'd be a bit wary of the changes (preset characters, different turn structure) but this is clearly a spinoff that focuses on a different kind of combat style so I can let it slide. My biggest worry so far is that the price tag means the game will be really short on content.

Also I admit that this game seems almost custom-made to make half of Yas Forums REEEE as much as possible. Watching that has been amusing in a way.

>All the aliens are also just generic looking humans in makeup too
The two you're thinking of aren't aliens, they're Advent/Reaper.

>wearing a condom to breed snek

No!

You know i am close to unironically hoping for white genocide because you niggers wont shut the fuck up about it.

I doubt you would need condoms for alien snake ladies so you could probably do it raw every time without fear of make baby

Welcome back, we missed you from the last thread.

Here's a quick summary of the plot for you.

>come into thread
>look for one vague bait comment about wypipo
>start sperging out yourself and attempting to derail the thread
Fucking kill yourself

Bet dollars to donuts the changes show up in xcom 3.
You'll find an excuse for them then, too, I bet.

Fuck you, I want to talk about white flight and self segregation of races in US cities

They're probably trying to ease in alien units being playable in X-Com 3.

Already with the excuses.
Guess I was right.

>> This is okay
>> SHIT and a big warning sign of casualization
>> Breaching is a gimick
>> Alternate turns could be good. One of the very very few good improvements
>> SHIT casualization
>> Looks like crap. Xcom has almost always been about fighting and killing aliums this aint rigtht.
>> Mods good obviously.

There you go user it looks like one of the worst X-om's ever made in gameplay and plot politics.

Except Jake explicitly told the team he doesn't like the turn order mechanic.

The fuck are you on about?

They do have human dna.
Its probably a small chance you could impregnate one.

You have a different opinion, so you're a cucked pozzed Jew sympathiser making excuses for a franchise he barely ever touched being turned into "leftist propaganda."

Even better. Next step: Argonians.

no deaths is gay

lmao, can't even follow a three post conversation.
The bar for retardation has now been lowered. 'Grats.

Dying being instant failure is literally harder than throwing rookies at the problem. Casuals are too afraid to admit they got filtered by the Central side-missions in XCOM 2.

>They do have human dna.
Really?
They are full aliens aren't they?

Holy shit, we're talking about the mechanics/game design.
Take your bipartisan temper tantrum and cram it up your ass.

More like you're a schizo having conversations in your own head.

>Dying being instant failure is literally harder
retarded*, they are soldiers not anime protagonists #214124 that must survive until end of the season

Xcom was always a leftist power fantasy, fuck off
It's like complaining about diversity in Star Trek

>pre-set squadmates
>If any Squadmate dies the mission is a failure
This is probably the factor that will make me hold off until it's pretty cheap.

t. filtered by Bradford's escapades and never got the classic XCOM gear

akchually, thats one of the human hybrids

i really dont like how their silhouette is so similar to the sectoid's, my main problem with the character design

irony intensifies

Do you have mental issues?

>until it's pretty cheap.
It's 10 euros

How is $10 not “pretty cheap”?

triggered much?

10$ too much

How is that ironic, retard?

lol, people play ice hockey games on surfaces craggier than your brain.

>$10 is cheap
Fuck off kikes

I didn't see that it was on sale. I'll still wait though.

I don't like the idea of "breaching". It takes out all the suspense of getting into position with the threat of being caught with your pants down. The all-at-once style sounds like a pain in the ass.

As a whole all the horror and mystery has been drained from this game and I will not be surprised if they announce a romance or "social link" system. I also hate the idea of controlling aliens killing humans.

Sure thing, schizo

>"hello coommander..."

No. Just confused at your autism

>akchually, thats one of the human hybrids
Fuck you're right

Sure thing, schizo

Ten dollars is cheap, NEET.

No they do have human dna.
When you kill and research one in Xcom 2 the scientist points this out. Not sure exactly how much human dna they have, could be only like 3%.

Cut back on one fast food meal and you can afford it, fatty.

so you're saying there is a chance?

>X-COM Swat spinnoff
Seems interesting, the only problem with game I have so far is
>RandyLands art style (Including Ayy's design)
>If your unit die's you need to start all over again
Seems like a good deal with 6$ in my book
