Why does this game not get more love from Yas Forumsultures?
It has the best first person combat mechanics of any game.

i can reasonably conclude you never played it
Copied gameplay from warband, fuck off.

*audible snort*
>Why does this game not get more love from Yas Forumsultures?
Only an AA production values, limited marketing, unusual and risky design decisions.
Despite the pretense, 99% of Yas Forums only cares about the big AAA market, sequels to well established franchises, and games that have the broadest possible appeal. That, and Weeb stuff to jerk off.
Weird, risky, limited marketing, niche genre, and janky stuff has little to no appeal here.
>It has the best first person combat mechanics of any game.
That, however, is just plain silly and stupid. And I say that as someone who loves the game, and even genuinely appreciates the combat for what it does, but no. It's incredibly flawed, littered with design and execution issues. It's definitely an interesting model, and could be potentially refined into something quite great, but it's way too flawed, way too poorly ballanced to be the best of anything.
Because Yas Forums is filled with degenerate redditors and underage discord niggers that come here to shitpost and probably don't play videogames at all.
On the topic of KCD it is indeed a great game, in fast the best open world RPG up to date that deserved much wider acknowledgment than it got.
I wouldn't say it has the *best* combat mechanics; master strikes are overpowered and the target locking can drive you insane. However, the game is still very fun, and I have to say I am enjoying it very much, even if I have some-fucking-how run into so many bugs and glitches that you'd thing the game was made by bethesda.
All that being said, one of the core issues in the game, even disregarding combat or the bugginess, is the learning curve. It's not that it is difficult, it's that it hits you like a fucking freight train when you first load up the game, but then completely disappears once you spend a few hours. It's so bad in fact that I ended up abandoning my normal playthrough (yes, I started on normal like a pleb, a friend told me that hardcore would be impossible to do on a first playthrough), and started up a hardcore campaign with the 'Better Combat and Immersion Compilation' mod, which further makes the game more difficult and more realistic.
Because for the intricacy that the game tried to push the controls are so subpar and useless
Not only did i play it, i played it once and on hardcore.
So which game has better first person combat?
>So which game has better first person combat?
Mount and blade and Adventures of Sir Kicks-a-lot come in mind.
I do think KC:D's combat has a lot of potential though. It's main issues are in ballancing and execution, rather than in the model itself.
i came to tell you to git gud
then i remembered
I just flat out refused to bother with the combat in this game and beat everything with a bow
Became so profficient with the bow
That quest when you have to scout an enemy encampement, and burn arrows and shit
I killed everyone in there with the bow by making them all follow me into the small water stream nearby and so they just walked towards me in an orderly line as i put an arrow between everyones eyes lol
I was dissapointed the game didnt recognise my effort..
I thin the best first person combat ever is in DISHONORED
Its simple but yet extremly fun and you can do wild stuff, unlike kingdome come which is just repetative
Dont believe me ?

Also, i get that you need to be skilled in kingdom come but... I could never pull off combos.. They were so tricky to do right even in training, let alone in a battle scenario
This game is like Deadly Premonition and Sleeping Dogs. Everyone thinks they're underrated but they're incredibly popular
In short you got filtered and now you pretending like your opinion is worth anything.
Dishonored was so ridiculously easy.
You sound like someone who enjoys playing with cheats.
It's a fun game, well worth playing.
yeah i dig the melee combat. Everything about this game was fantastic except the shitty optimization and the length of the main story (too long). Monastery quest was amazing.
Combos don't mean anything anyway, when I'm 90% sure the enemies just level with your character and block every strike anyway.
>Learn some new combo/gain combat skill
>enemies are now all wearing plate armor
>you play as a parkour demigod 1 shotting helpless retard npcs.
Wow such gameplay. Much challenge.
Most retards on v are too stupid to get through the quests without quest markers or tips and also they’re consolekiddos so they can’t into the combat
>not using maces
Doesn't make it any less true though, then you just have to grind another skill tree for the next 20 hours
Severily underrated game. It's mindblowing how weebshit like Persona and BotW get multiple threads everyday and this game don't
>you thought v was full of hardcore jaded gamers
>apparently its full of teens who cant play or have any taste when it comes to story
heh
>It has the best first person combat mechanics of any game.
lol no
you don't get to talk about people being degenerates while posting anime
I got pleb filtered by the first tutorial fist fight with the drunk and refunded my purchase. I heard that there are multiple ways to complete quests like just stealing the items, getting your friends to kick his ass, and talking to certain npcs to help you convince him to give you the stuff. But I want to be a goddamn badass hero and the game wants you to play as a peasant pissant who can't even fight a drunk.
I believed you until I saw the video you linked and now I just think youre shit at games if you think thats an example of good gameplay
but later on you become a plate armored, combat god riding on your adorned armored steed.
the mental midgets making this game should have let us play a cuman
name a better one
Play bannerlord instead.
Because it's a single player game that came out two years ago you dumb fuck
but it has zero mechanics to simulate sword play...
you just bash the button.
Dark messiah
So why is skyrim or that shitty zelda game constantly mentioned?
>can literally beat the entire game by just kicking
>no mechanics for sword play, just bash bash bash
you gotta be kidding me.
Did you even play the OP game?
KCD's combat may be fun if a tad bit broken, but the story is nothing special. It telegraphs its "twists" and hides a bunch of stuff behind quests that are horribly inconsistent in quality, ranging from kino to why bother with this at all, it's padding? The majority of the story is in the latter. Comfy hunting trip turned rescue mission? Barely required for the plot, tutorial shit. Slog through a monastery? Fucking essential.
