What's that thing on that gay pc? Looks weird for a dildo

Underpowered garbage thats holding VR Games back

I’d have an opinion if I could fucking find one.

best option if you dont want to pay more than double for the index. i've only purchased virtual desktop on the store and play exclusivley steamvr games wireless on the quest. just need a decent router and latency is fine.

I have one and I have really enjoyed. Especially with the USB-C link thing now.

basically what I was gonna post. Modded beat saber is fun as well without wires to worry about. The same principle applies to pretty much most vr games as well.

I heard Virtual Desktop wireless option has improved latency with the lastest patch, but still.

how bad is it? Be real user.

Can't you just mod beat saber directly on the Quest?

It needs to go on a Quest to the recycling heap.

look step bro! I posted it again!

The games that are well optimized and run natively are pretty great, it shows that the future of VR needs to be wireless

This VR Is sold out everywhere I thought it was supposed to fail, fuck you Yas Forums.

these are my numbers. my router is in line of sight of me like 6ft away from me. i played stuff like alyx, boneworks, asgards wrath without noticable delay. i feel zero difference with or without the cable.

I have one and it basically does everything. The display is excellent, it was really good during dark scenes in HL: Alyx. Developing for the quest is really easy using Unity, you just import the Oculus SDK prefabs and hit build with the Quest connected basically. Only negatives are the FOV is only 95 degrees or so, and it could be a little lighter. But for $400, it does everything I could possibly ask of it and more.

Unironically a better option than the Rift S due to more features like working wirelessly and having hand tracking

Excellent all-rounder but not quite as good as the Rift S for PC only VR. I'm really interested in what happens to the camera-only hand tracking, in my mind it has lots of potential

Seems good, I tried ALVR which had more latency than this and while the headset could compensate with some technical tricks the only real latency was on the controllers. I'll give it another shot then.

Its basically only good for navigating menus, maybe good for gesturing when Oculus eventually releases facebook horizon.
Some guy is building a space strategy game that supports hand tracking too.

The integration for hand tracking is pretty excellent though, if you put the controllers down, so once the IMU sensors don't register any movement, it automatically switches to the hands, vise verca when you pick them up again.

Meme, like all other VR sets.

noice
Does it track your dick too?

I too wanted to believe that VR was the next big step but every time I see a clip from a game it's just more violence or pedo bullshit. Think games have enough of that already.

>See a nice forest or room in a video
>Immediately want to blow my brains out because I'm stuck in this lifestyle and travelling is a meme when you have 500€ income monthly

If you masturbate in view of the tracking camera it recognises your hand going up and down so thats kinda akward

It's good enough to be good for everything.
It's not going to blow your mind in any particular regard, but it does everything so well that I'm actually surprised it exists.
My only complaint would be that Oculus went with a CV1 strap with this one. This shit is uncomfortable.

You can but if you already have Beat Saber on Steam you might not want to buy it again on Quest.

Yup, if you get the Oculus Link cable plus some third party comfort stuff it easily is around $500 instead of the Rift S $400. So thats something to keep in mind.
Pic related works really well for me

Quest was often sold out even before the pandemic, it's just a very popular product.

It has a chip that's not utilized and Oculus is looking into using it for AI assisted upscaling and their experiments are showing up to 70% of increase in performance.

What I find very fascinating about this device is how much it changed (and probably will keep on changing) just thanks to software updates.

>tfw zuckerberg is watching you masturbate
>tfw he's hooked one of those electronic pussies to his lizard schlong
>tfw you're jacking off both yourself and that kike without knowing it

I tried to like it but it was too uncomfortable due to being very front heavy and I didn't want to spend any more money for *fixes.* It was really cool though. The motion controls are very much the best part. I'll try VR again with the screen resolution is much higher.

>I tried to like it but it was too uncomfortable due to being very front heavy
It's actually lighter than Rift S and most of other headsets out there. The front-heaviness is caused by the strap which only works with some heads as it has to hook on the back of your skull. Tons of people were complaining about this design in CV1 already and Oculus basically reusing the same strap with minimal changes was an outright terrible decision on their behalf.

My dream would be some specifically optimized wireless addon that you put in the USB-C port with a dongle also on the PC, but thats probably fantasy.

Apparently a new prototype leaked also named similair to the Quests WIP Santa Cruz codename, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were already working on a Quest 2 at this point. A wireless/wired hybrid that does everything better than the Quest in its current state would let them focus entirely on one product and could finally replace the Rift line entirely.
