Red Dead Redemption 2

What does Yas Forums think of this game? Just picked it up

i liked it, some pretty cool moments. two shitty characters i think the story would've been better without but eh... beautiful game though, definitely buy it if you like westerns

bleh sorry didn't notice you already bought, don't post without sleep kids

Binged it for 2 weeks and then dropped it at the start of chapter 3 when I ran out of interesting things to do

I really loved gun in 2006 so hoping I enjoy this

Did you get bored of it?

it's a slow game so some people get bored with it? me? i loved exploring the world, decking out aurther's guns and outfits, hunting was fun too. shit i feel the sudden urge to replay it now.

Crack when?

best game ever made

Bunch of filler padding and bad gameplay that resembles a cumbersome visual novel.

Very comfy game, great story but it gets pretty boring after a while

Different poster but no I did not. I played it every day for weeks and about 10 hours a day on my days off. Lots of stuff to do. Chapter 5 is dumb but it gets better at the end. Do everything you can before chapter 4.

i FUCKING JUST BOUGHT IT
and im happy
Never gonna spend 60 on a game again.

Hunting and fishing is the comfiest I've been in vidya in a very long time. That alone makes it worth it.

I wanna play it but I'm not supporting a late port on principle.

Yes, that is what is implied by "running out of interesting things to do".

Arthur and Micah are some of the worst written characters in history of vidya.

I played to completion every GTA (starting with 1). I also really enjoyed RDR1 (I didn't like Red Dead Revolver though). So obviously I was looking forward to play RDR2.

I regret buying it at full price.

Played only 8 hours in January then uninstalled it.

leave now, anons are going to post spoilers at you

Yas Forums will hate it until RDR3 comes out.

I heard the single player has no additional side content once you've finished the main game, any truth to this?
I'd love to hunt random bounties or something offline.

If you've kept yourself clueless about the game, go play it, it's the best thing you can do.
Don't look up guides or advice unless it's technical, like the game makes your machine shit itself like it did for me at first.

All I can say, I went in expecting "GTA with horses", but it was so much better.
Online sucks faggot ass though, don't bother with it at this point. Not just there's nothing to do, it's broken beyond "barely playable" right now.

There's things to do, but a limited number. Some bounties only unlock in the Epilogue.

Red dead revolver >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RDR1 > RDR2

it's fun, comfy and the story is entertaining. now get the fuck out and play it before anyone spoils it for you.

I think WHY ISNT IT FUCKIGN CRACKED YET REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Its incredible, it has some of the problems other rockstar games have, but the world and story are exceptional. Make sure you do every stranger mission you see (aside from the collectathon ones if that doesn't interest you, though the characters are still fun) and keep an eye out for some missable content, its hello of a ride.

60?? I swear it got reduced to 25-20 in recent sales

Loved the first game.
Bought this when it came out on PC. Dropped it at chapter 3 over 2 months ago to play other games, still haven't touched it since.

Kino.

It has massive objective flaws.

Everybody always bitches about Guarma but it's 40 minutes max and like 3 missions

If you like exploring and a slower pace - 9/10
If you don't like a slower pace and want gameplay to be cowboy Max Payne - 6/10

>but it's 40 minutes max and like 3 missions
that'd be why they're bitching. it was completely irrelevant.

Online is pretty fun when it's working correctly.

Max Payne 4 fucking when?
Rockstar still own the rights, don't they.

how so?

check out my H Y P E R B O L E you guys!

Guarma is definitely the weakest part of the game and I'm not sure if they intended it for to be longer or what. The game has plenty of stuff to do if you cut that part out of the game so it just feels like they couldn't think of a better way to do a timeskip or something. It's not THAT bad of an act though, I think a lot of people just didn't like the area you were forced into and being away from the actual camp

It's not irrelevant to the story at all. It's when Dutch and the others realize that just fucking off to a tropical island isn't going to solve any of their problems.
The clusterfuck of Guarma informs much of the choices made by the gang in Chapter 6

>I'm not sure if they intended it for to be longer or what
There was a lot of unused stuff in the game files that suggest Guarma was supposed to be much bigger, yeah. like a 2nd hub world
much of it was clearly cut
you were supposed to be able to go back there as John, etc

>It's when Dutch and the others realize that just fucking off to a tropical island isn't going to solve any of their problems.
It will still Dutch's plan even after that. Those who knew it wouldn't solve their problems already knew before Guarma

>online is pretty fun
But it's shit.
>retarded long grind unless you pay cash
>niggas shooting each other for no reason
>lack of NPC's, world is mostly empty
>most missions and bounties are locked behind paywalls and levels you have to grind 30 hours for (or again shill out real money) before you can access them
How the fuck is this fun?
I don't know if anything's been improved since I last played it though.

IIRC Dutch changes the destination to Australia

Australia was on his list of places since chapter 4. Strauss also wanted Australia since chapter 4 too

"game"

anyone who says the first 3 hours weren't mind numbingly boring is a tard

probably would have been their best bet

>anyone who says the first 3 hours weren't mind numbingly boring is a tard
first rockstar game?

>gameplay thats actually a cutscene where you have to hold down R2 for 20 minutes

Worst game I've ever paid for
I thought it was bugged at first, when I got GAME OVER for walking 5 METERS off the mission path
Then I realized every mission was like that

This isn't a game, it's a movie, if you do anything outside of the extremely linear missions you just insta-fail

There's a part where you have to place 3 bombs, the mission fails if you don't put them in the excact correct order

RDR 2 might be the worst big-budget videogame yet created
In fact, calling it a videogame is a lie

Mediocre overall, even GTA5 was more fun to play
