Not even. The boss before and Sephiroth himself are much harder, mostly because of constant attacks and knockbacks.

Eligor you had to go out of your way to find, it was pretty rare. And the zones where Hell House might appear weren't that many, I don't think I saw it on my first playthrough.

I doubt it beats this in terms of shear frustration but i look forward to playing this this weekend.

Did gold saucer's arena ruin the pacing? They even made this arena relevant to the story just like in the original.

Just tedious, he shifts states far too often and spends forever in God mode. You spend most of the fight waiting to attack it.

Have you tried in hard mode? Launches about 9 tonberry at you at various points and in its last 15% health it sends out a cutter and sweeper.

Normal is easy. Hard mode is legit hard as fuck.

I played FF7 for the first time ever a couple weeks ago and fought multiple hell houses by chance alone. They are far from uncommon.

They also put the rare enemy you steal the Strike Staff from in the train graveyard as a full-on boss.
They were so desperate to appeal to every niche part of the fanbase that they overdid it, really.

It was only hard because I didn't take any magic materia with me.

That's literally luck of the draw. It only appears in specific parts of Sector 6.

FFVII is a memorable game, what do you want? I remember that stupid triceratops thing and that overpowered faggot that can one-shot you around Bone Village, too.
