Can you guys recommend me a reasonably priced upgrade to my GPU that will allow me to play more things at higher settings? My PC was pretty great a good ass while ago...also Im bad at hardware.
my current GPU is "GeForce GTX 1060 3GB"
Can you guys recommend me a reasonably priced upgrade to my GPU that will allow me to play more things at higher...
age.... :/
GTX 2050 Ti Super
2060 super or go home
I have the same one and I get shitty graphical errors wtf. asus tweaktool kind of helps. I need to clean it.
If all you can afford was a 3gb 1060 youre better off saving your money. Dont upgrade at the end of a conzole generation. That thing can still run doom eternal.
rtx 2080ti just went into stock on newegg use all your trump money if you're a burger like me
if you can't afford at least a 2070 super then no upgrade is worth it for you at this time. consider buying used when the new nvidia 3000 series releases later this year
>also Im bad at hardware.
Look at cards in your price range and then google *card name* benchmark.
There you go fuck head
How much do you think the 2080 ti’s price will drop after the 3000s come out
Is it worth upgrading to anything in the 2000 range when the 3000s come out or am I better off getting a 3000 series? Got a 1080
Very little because they will want you to buy the 3000s
there is absolutely never any good reason to upgrade only 1 generation of cards. especially when you have a higher end card. get the 3080 or 3070 when it comes out. going from 1000 series to 2000 series is beyond stupid
It depends. How much savings do you have?
If the 2080ti GPU will cost you more than 10% of your savings, don't buy it and wait for the 3080ti
I got the normal 2060 from a 970 pretty happy with it
You might as well wait because corona has made prices go up for GPU my 2060 i got a month ago is up like 15 percent on most sites
3000 series will be delayed too so just be patient for this pestilence to fuck off
...
Why is it called the Super instead of Ti now and what happened to the xx90 cards?
MSI or Asus? Gonna buy one when the Trumpbux comes in
MSI cards are better value for money, and the only good ASUS card is that massive 3 fan one. Which is overpriced and Turing doesn't overclock well. Super is the refresh of Turing to compete with Navi's prices.
All MSI hardware comes with Chinese spying attached
Radeon 5700 should be cheap now. Less than $300. If you have a 1080p screen, theres nothing you can get that is better and more reasonably priced.
Cheaper than the 2070 super at least.
1080 here too. It will last pretty good for a while. I am not planning on upgrading till the 4000 series ti. Hopefully get a new motherboard and processor when ddr 5 comes out.
I'm going to buy a RTX 3080ti or RTX 3090 when they come out.
I'm sick of being a XX70 poorfag. For once Im finally going to unload a nigger load of cash on a GPU, no more half-assing with the XX70 GPUs.
3000 series isn't coming out any time soon, right?
RTX 3060 later this year. Or RDNA2 depending on how good it is.
Don't buy shit while we have this corona shit going on and new consoles and hardware are just about to come out.
Sure, for the low price of $999
Plus tax
For a x50
I think Nvidia is going to be competetive with pricing on Ampere. Big Navi is right on its tail, so they don't have a year head start to price gouge retards
>tfw desperately need to get a new PC because my current one is 7 years old and runs almost no new games well at this point (if it runs them at all)
>coronavirus ups the prices for basically everything right as I'm almost able to get one
>next gen GPUs are right around the corner
I'm tired of waiting AAAAAAA
Let's hope prices don't climb because of covid shortages
Thank fucking god I upgraded last year.
2060 was a huge upgrade to my 970. It's pretty good at 1440p but I'll upgrade again when the 3000 series comes out.
Bro you've waited 7 years to upgrade.
Even if prices are up 100% you still haven't spent a CENT on gaming hardware in almost a decade
if DLSS 2.0 gets wider support, an RTX card becomes extremely useful
in the games it's in, it can 'fake' a resolution 3x higher by using some special cores, and its such a high quality that it actually adds fidelity and detail to certain aspects better than the native resolution (like hair) while nearly doubling performance
I went with a 2070 rtx super just in case shit hit the fan
we're nowhere near hdd/ram hike price tier though, I got the card in early march before full coronavirus panic for $450 and you can still find them for that
rtx 2600 has been the best value card for 2 years
if you want "affordability" and dont mind shit drivers buy 5700xt
